If you like 60s music, you would love the Summer of Love Concert. It was an experience for the ears and eyes. The costumes were great, and I found myself singing along with the performers. This was my third concert with them and I plan to see it again.
Highly entertainining peppered with fabulous musicianship. Kudos for fine arranging and a funny singing front man! Belia outdid himself. Freedom rings.
Third time seeing the Summer of Love. Brought along a newbie and she loved it. This is a must see, feel good show!
I have seen this show 3 times now and every time I love it more! So entertaining, such wonderful musicians and great song choices! I will go again!!
Glen's band is always terrific. They are talented professional musicians. Each year while performing Gimmie Shelter by the Rolling Stones, the band always has video of soldiers fighting in Vietnam. As a Vietnam Veteran I would ask Mr. Burtnik to recognize not only Vietnam Veterans, but all Veterans prior to when the show begins. Without recognizing the Vietnam Veteran, people in the audience, who are mainly from that Era, may still hold animosity towards we Vietnam Veterans. They us fighting the war on screen behind the band. By not recognizing we Veterans, the audience may still think it is ok to disrespect us. If Mr. Burtnik shows respect to we Vietnam Veterans, the audience will follow his lead. Other than this yearly mistake, the show is always great.
More than expected - tying in the music while portraying what as going on in our country very well done. Performers did an outstanding job of bringing the original artist back to life on stage,. Glen Burtnick truely a great talent.
all in all, not a bad night. all the performers really tried their best. but, while their efforts were genuine, the talent was just not there. not their fault...and it made me wonder what would it have been like to really see and hear janis joplin or any of the others from her generation live? my goodness ! those performances must have been truly special. the progression of the show could have been more structured and lead us all on a real journey...the stage show reminded me of a high school musical but hey, what do you want for fifty bucks anymore?
Summer Of Love is one of the best era compilation music events I've ever attended. Every song done as close can be to he original recordings, great selection, the vocal and instrumental performers top shelf, and the band as a whole fantastic. I would definitely see this show again.
I have seen The Summer of Love concert several times and this did not disappoint. From the first song to the last, it kept on entertaining. Talented musicians and singers performing from one song to another. I really enjoyed it!
Second year I've gone, it's a fantastic show! Don't miss it.
