GLASS TIGER IN CONCERT:
Canadian rockers Glass Tiger are a fierce five-piece band that's been hammering out the hits since 1986, and they sound as fresh as ever nearly 30 years later. Lead singer Alan Frew still knows how to command the stage with his sharp, impeccable vocals and rich guitar strumming while his bandmates shred out solos on hits like "Someday" and "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)". With their popular alt-rock tunes and on-point musicianship, Glass Tiger always brings the house down when they perform for eager ticket buyers on their can't-miss tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The members of Glass Tiger â singer Alan Frew, keyboard player Sam Reid, guitarist Al Connelly, bassist Wayne Parker, and drummer Michael Hanson â first got together in 1983 and performed under the name Tokyo. They earned their big break a year later playing for sold-out crowds as an opening act for Boy George and Culture Club on tour. They attracted attention from several labels at the shows, eventually signing to Capitol Records and changing their name to the current moniker. They earned widespread acclaim with their four-times platinum-selling debut Thin Red Line, which featured the smash hit "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)" â a song that peaked at No. 1 on the Canadian Songs chart, earned the band three Juno Awards, and launched them to international stardom. Glass Tiger continued to enjoy success with their follow-up releases Diamond Sun (1988) and Simple Mission (1991), which they supported with extensive touring throughout their native Canada. After a hiatus that saw the band's members pursue various other projects, the group got back together in 2003 to perform local shows. Although the band has had a lineup change since reforming with new drummer Chris McNeill, Glass Tiger still knows how to rock a crowd and deliver a hit-filled live show.

My girlfriends and I had a blast! The band still rocks it like it was 1985.
Felt right back in the late 80's Era! .. show, he still sounds great! Very enjoyable concert â¤ď¸ Glad I got to go back to my teenage years for a few hrs ! đ
I have always wanted to go to a Glass Tiger Concert. They did not disappoint! Alan Frew & the band were amazing! I didnât want the night to end!
The opening act, "The Kings", was not very good. They were just a lot of noise! The songs were not memorable nor easy to hear. The general audience reaction was very low and the act went on for too long. Glass Tiger was great! Wish we could have stayed to the end but had to leave for our ride home.
This concert brought me back to my 13 year old self! So much fun 38 years later. Alan Frew sounded amazing.
Glass Tiger was great but show was too short - only 1 hour 15 min or 80 min which included a 5 min break. I have been to many concerts(11-12) in past year and this one was by far the shortest. It was also the cheapest. I donât want to take away from The great musicians of the band and the great singing and conversation by Alan Frew but why not give the fans another 15-20 min at least to make them feeling like they had a complete evening of good entertainment. I am sure the band was enjoying the feedback and could play a little longer and more of their hits. I drove 2 hours to see an hour and 15 min show
Great to see Glass Tiger in concert, they Sounded great and really brought us back to the past. as always the venue and staff at Casino Rama were friendly and professional making the experience even greater. I cannot wait to see the next concert.
The kings and Glass Tiger put a really good show. We enjoyed it very much !
Still belting out the hits and they added in a couple of holiday songs of their own. Such a positive message and I was able to reminisce about the "good ole days"
