GLASS ANIMALS IN CONCERT:

UK psych pop outfit Glass Animals stepped through the proverbial looking glass to arrive at their unique sound, and the result is a hallucinatory blend of indie rock, trip hop, and electronica. The quartet's singular music is at its most potent in concert, where their slick beats and lush vocal harmonies take on new sonic dimension with the addition of live drums and guitar. Whether they're treating fans to the lilting beauty of "Gooey" or the percussive pulse of "Pools", Glass Animals always mesmerizes fans with their spellbinding compositions, psychedelic visuals, and captivating stage presence on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The lads of Oxford, England's Glass Animals have been friends since the age of 14, but they didn't start making music together until after high school. They made their debut in 2012 with the Leaflings EP, an auspicious record that hinted at the envelope-pushing psych pop sound they've become known for. In 2013 they caught the eye of legendary producer Paul Epworth (Adele, Florence and the Machine), who quickly signed them to his Wolf Tone label after attending one of their London shows. Their first outing under the direction of Epworth was a self-titled 2013 EP that further established their distinct sound and landed them on tour with fellow pop visionary St. Vincent. After a string of buzzworthy performances on the road, the band released their highly anticipated debut full-length Zaba to considerable critical acclaim. A rising new act with a forward-looking sound, Glass Animals continue to enthrall ticket buyers on their unforgettable tours.

Glass Animals was going to be a good show and I knew this before they hit the stage. From the moment the music started until the end, there was an incredible energy and amazing music throughout the entire room. I wish I could relive that show many times over! The show beyond exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely be seeing this group live again!!

    Everyone should experience Glass Animals

by justagirlhere on 10/1/15The Wiltern - Los Angeles

Glass Animals were out of this world. There are really no words to describe how amazing they are in concert. When Dave Bayley dances, you have to dance too. His dancing is contagious. Dave announced that Drew hurt himself, but that didn't stop Drew from getting up and being amazing. Joe is one of the best drummers, and Edmund looks so cool jammin. Every member contributes to the awesomeness of this live show. Gooey got that crowd going absolutely crazy. That song is one of the best songs. There was even a cover of Kanye West's Love Lockdown. It was amazing.

    Better than I expected

by ypeet on 9/28/15The Wiltern - Los Angeles

I was surprised by the stage presence. I was expecting your standard electronica show, but it wasn't. The lead singer reminded me of Thom Yorke on stage. They jam, they are energetic, they are instrumentally talented. I can't wait until they put out more albums and the show can go on!

Awesome show, and my only complaint was the merchandise booth. It was understaffed, and at the end of the show, I crowded around the booth with everyone else. I was standing at the edge of the booth, and the worker said "you can't stand there!" without even making eye contact with me. I would have waited but opted just to leave since she was so rude. I guess $50 bucks saved is $50 bucks earned.

    glass animals were there

    by Cammy1234576 on 9/23/15Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Were they playing the guitars? I couldn't tell. Didn't seem like authentic, live music except for the glorified vocalist.

    Glass Animals killed it!

    by map88 on 9/22/15Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

While the opener (LA Priest) didn't really seem to do it for the crowd, Glass Animals were amazing! They were so on point, really interacted with the crowd and was one of the best performances I've been to. Being at the beautiful fox theater was also such a pleasure!

I've never seen a better performance to date. It was their first show for their 2015 tour and they blew it out of the water. They're incredibly energetic their music live is sooo good. I can't wait till they come back. They put on an amazing show. The lighting is in time to all their songs. It was just spectacular. I definitely recommend seeing them. Especially if you have listed to their albums. It doesn't matter were you get the tickets just experiencing it live I'd something you should do if you're a fan.

    Glass Animals were absolutely amazing!

    by Hairstylist84 on 7/31/15Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

This was by far my favorite concert out of the 30+ I have been to. They sounded amazing live! Loved how most band members played without shoes and danced around. I highly recommend checking them out! Very talented band!

    Very cool

    by Meemee96 on 6/27/15The National - Richmond

I love Glass Animals. While performing live, they sound exactly as they do in the studio - which is apparently really hard to do. The singer, Edmond, came outside the theater at the end and just casually talked to a few of the people who seen the show. Pretty chill dude. The only thing I had a problem with is how short the show was (hour and a half). AND they had an opening band - Gilligan Moss - playing for a whole hour and half before that. I went to a Naked and Famous concert once and their concert must've lasted for 4+ hrs (not including the 2 hrs the opening band performed).

    Great stage presense!!!

by SophiaRVA on 6/16/15The National - Richmond

The band didn't talk to much--just jumped into the music. As he sang, he danced, got close to the crowd, and even sat on the barrier, then jumped into the crowd! Very nice guys. No crazy cursing; they didn't try to act all bad on stage.

Dave Bayley, hell, the whole band was amazing. They brought their great peanut butter vibes and rocked the civic theatre. I would LOVE if they came back to New Orleans, because I would go see them each and every time. From beginning to end, you were into the whole show. We loved you guys come back soon!!
