quite a show-but hard to see

by Wreath on 8/5/13State Theatre - Minneapolis

It was a great an entertaining show, even for a guy. I had main floor seats about 20 rows back. Wish they could incorporate big screens like they do at concerts so I could see closely.

    Not Very Good This Year

by PoppyGolightly on 8/5/13State Theatre - Minneapolis

We were disappointed with the show this year - there were not enough designers (what happened to Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan?), and the most disappointing part was becoming almost deaf when Sheryl Crow and her band played. I think they need to improve the sound system at the State Theatre, or bring the show back to the Orpheum! Also, there were too many people walking back and forth in the aisles that they disrupted the whole experience! What a disapoinment. We did enjoy Circue du Soleil, they were awesome!

    Wasn't a Good Year

    by Glamno55410 on 8/14/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I've been to Glamorama for many years. This was the WORST year by far! Disappointed entertainment, fashion and after show. Nothing to be excited about at all. I will question going next year. Very sad

    Just another Glamorama

    by thygfg2012 on 8/6/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I wish Macy's would find a way to freshen up this show. I can almost predict every step. And next we will have hot male models in their underwear. Now the "headliner" will perform and the kids will all come out and dance.

    Glamorama was AMAZING!!!!

by MaryStills on 8/5/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Glamorama was simply amazing! The show was fantastic from start to finish, but the evenings highlight was definitely the after party!!!! We felt like celebrities for the night! We will definitely be back next year supporting this fantastic organization!

The lighting props ruined the view

by PoppyGolightly on 8/5/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

It was a great night except for that lighting props that obscured our view of the stage. The photos we took had that thing on it and looked really weird. Otherwise, my girlfriends and I (all eleven of us!) had an awesome time - and we're gonna do it again next year!

Glamorama not as good as last year

    by Brick5678 on 8/5/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Glamarama was entertaining and we had fun but it wasn't as good as last year. I don't know if Macy's isn't as committed to the event or if there was a new person running it that isn't experienced enough - there was just something about it that felt like it wasn't complete. It seemed shorter too. Robin Thicke wasn't very good. Carmen was pretty good.

    Great cause, good show.

by FashionOverflow on 8/5/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

The show & British theme was well put together & showed many ways of creatively presenting fashion. I must say though, Karmin- who was the opener, was almost better than Robin Thicke who was the main attraction. Robin was only on stage for 6 minutes! The show was only ONE HOUR for $70-1,000 tickets! But I guess it's for a good cause overall. If you're a sucker for a reason to get glamed up & see fashion like me, this is for you! But you also have to be willing to spend a lot for a little!

The show was a lot of fun. Enjoyed the dancers, fashion show and music. My only complaint is that it was too short! Only about one hour and 15 minutes total. Would have enjoyed more Bruno Mars. His set was very short.

    Glamarama was very cool!

by KitaLina on 8/7/11Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

This was the first time I've gone to Glamarama and I loved it. It's theatre, a concert and a fashion show combined...very, very fun and well done. I loved the opening where the ballerina's danced to the song "Creep". It was fun to see everyone dressed up - and I really did enjoy the fashion show and the several of the collections. Also like that children were incorporated.

    Absolutely Unreal

    by Tony612 on 8/7/11Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Glamorama '11 was absolutely unreal. It is by far the best party Minneapolis has to offer. Thank you to everyone that made it possible. It was simply mind blowing. Already looking forward to next year! Note to single men: It's like 10:1 of the most gorgeous women you'll ever see;-)

by limegreen on 8/7/11Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

This was an amazing show. The production was entertaining and fun to watch. The afterparty was great food, entertainment, fun attractions and fun people watching. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys fashion.

    Blonde Faux Hawk

by GOGOGOGO on 8/7/10Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I have been to most of the Macy's/Marshall Fields/Dayton/Hudson fashion events over the years. I think this year's show (2010) was not as good as last year's event but I still highly recommend attending next year. I thought the opening scene was spectacular - kudos to Myron Johnson's choreography, the dance scenes are always a pleasure to watch. Hutchinson was phenomenal but Macy Gray fell flat. The fashion was ho-humm at times and only a couple models stood out, the Swedish male model and the tall female model (Greta) with the platinum Blonde Faux Hawk. The after party was bliss.
