    Girugamesh always rocks!

by HydeistX on 5/1/11Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield

Girugamesh played an awesome show for such a small venue, They were energetic, engaging the audience with every move. A great band that deserves much recognition. Acey Slade and the Dark Party were pleasantly surprising. They were pretty good. If I were into American metal bands I'd probably check them out, and I do recommend for others to check them out as well. The lead singer was pretty charismatic and had a unique style.

    Girugamesh and Acey Slade

by NadeshikoYamato on 4/29/11Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield

I had gone with a group of friends to the concert and did not expect to see so many lined up. While we waited for the doors to open we chatted and signed a banner for Girugamesh. Once inside, we bought our merchandise and were told we'd get a meet and greet signing session with the band after the show. Acey Slade and the Dark Party was much better than I thought they would be. They have an 80's/90's punk rock vibe to them, and put on a great show. They really pumped the crowd up and interacted with us. After their set they hung out to sign autographs and take pictures, and are very friendly and happy to give hugs and talk to newfound fans. As Girugamesh came on, everyone was jumping up and down and really letting go. Nii, their guitarist danced every chance he got and really connected with the crowd. Shuu, their bassist, joined in on the dancing fun in his skirt, mimicing Nii at one point. Ryo was the most active I have ever seen a drummer, even jumping up out of his seat while playing to egg the crowd on. Satoshi really got up close with the audience, singing with his all. While waiting for their encore, my friends and I started singing songs off youtube, such as Big Booty Bitches, What What (In the Butt), and even Rick Roll'd the concert. After an amazing and heartwarming encore and asking to donate for the Japan Eartquake Relief Fund (which I happily donated $20 to the cause). At the signing, we unfortunately could not hug, but we did get handshakes and happy smiles at seeing their fans. Nii was especially happy to hear me compliment his dancing skills in Japanese (Ryo and Satoshi did fairly well in English, Shuu had some difficulty, and Nii didn't bother with it and did his MC in Japanese). This was an absolutely amazing concert and hopefully both bands will be touring again sometime in the Fall.

    Sick girugämesh USA Tour 2011

by Kikoutofthis on 4/29/11Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield

It was an amazing, unforgettable concert that I'll never ever, EVER, forget. I don’t think I have ever seen a group of people scream so loud for such a small crowd. Never rocked out so hard. ゴ ギルガメッシュ! If you are having second thoughts, don't. Just do it! GO!
