Very talented ladies taking turns singing. Little singing together. Fairly short event under the circumstances and zero encore. Left feeling "it was nice to give money to the cancer fight " rather than "wow, Springsteen just played his heart out nonstop for 3 hours." Cam's massive stage presence overwhelmed everyone else. Runaway June is going to make it big I think.
This was my first time attending "Girls with Guitars." It felt like we were in a living room or something, it felt so comfortable and the singers were so close and informal. I will be there next year for sure! Well worth the money.
I love the venue, the performers were fabulous! Love that Sara Evans was the headliner!
This concert was an early Christmas for my daughter. The VIP meet & greet was a great way to start the evening! There was plenty of time for photo ops & autographs. The concert was, of course, the hit of the evening! Many thanks to the wonderful women who performed that night. We had a blast and look forward to next year's concert!
What a great experience! My daughter will remember this concert way more then all the other loud, smoke fill, light show, people blocking your view ... Etc. concerts. I do not like concerts myself but really loved this one. Best investment I could have made.
Awesome night, great artists, perfect venue- and they had wine!
Loved the concert. A wonderful selection of both seasoned professionals and up and coming country talent. I enjoyed hearing the stories behind their music and the songs they sung were fabulous. I want to go out and get every new album from this wonderfully talented group of women!!!
The Girls with Guitars were wonderful, what I could hear of them. I was seated in front of an extremely drunk patron who was either talking loudly through the songs or singing off-key at the top of her lungs like we all paid to hear her. She was yelling at the performers while they were talking, I brought my 10 year-old daughter to the show thinking it would be empowering for her to hear the young, extremely talented ladies in a family friendly environment. I was disappointed. At the end of the show, I was treated to a beer shower when this woman stood up to applaud. If the Hippodrome is going to serve alcohol, they should post a few security people to deal with people like this. I won't attend a concert there again.
Sound quality was not very good. However, the overall concert was fun and it was for a great cause.
Even though most of the artists were new they did a fantastic job singing. I enjoyed the way they all supported each other in their new roles as entertainers. I really liked the way they were able to get the audience up on their feet to join in their last song they all did together. The show only got better when Sarah Evens performed, although I would have liked her to take the lead with the newer artists. Sarah’s choice of songs was some of my favorite and her voice was amazing. In a nut shell the show was awesome, and had a great time.
I love going to the hippodrome theater. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. I have been there a few times now for different events. Always enjoy it. it is very clean inside and set up very well. Other people attending always seem to be friendly too. The openers for Girls with Guitars wasn't as fun as I expected, but that is on the performers not the theater. Sara Evans was worth the wait. All in all I would go back again. My mother in law enjoyed it and made a great birthday celebration.
It was a very good show but wasn't long enough. I enjoyed the stories and music but each only sang 3 songs and Sara Evans only about 5 songs. Really need to have them sing more songs for $150 a ticket
This was an awesome event that many need to see. The breast cancer cause was even better to help show the fight is still happening and we all need to support these women and all women with this terrible infliction.
