About

Girls Night: The Musical has earned rave reviews playing packed houses throughout the United Kingdom since 2003.  It premiered in the US in May 2007 and has toured across the country since then.  It has been described as "'Desperate Housewives' meets Mamma Mia!" (Applause Magazine), "a boisterous, bust-out, bawdy musical revue" (Wisconsin State Journal),  "An infectious, exhilarating sense of intoxication!" (Hollywood Reporter) and "As funny and outrageous as Sex and the City!" (The Advocate).

Hilarious and touching, Girls Night: The Musical follows five friends in their 30s and 40s during a wild and outrageous girls night out at a karaoke bar.  Friends since their teens, they have all had their fair share of heartache and tragedy, joy and success.  Among the characters are Carol the party girl, blunt Anita who tells it like it is, Liza with her marital (and eating) issues, boring Kate the designated driver and Sharon, the not-so-angelic angel who just couldn't resist tagging along.  Together, they reminisce about their younger days, celebrate their current lives and look to the future, all the while belting out an array of classic anthems such as "It's Raining Men," "I Will Survive," "Lady Marmalade," "Man I Feel Like a Woman," and "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."

Girls Night: the Musical was amazing.

by LaurieAck on 10/11/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Girls Night: the Musical was amazing. I went with my mother and my two sisters for our own Girls Night. We shopped in Boston for the day and then walked to the Wilbur for the show. We ended our own Girl's Night with a wonderful dinner at the North End.

by magmid on 10/11/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Went with 2 girlfriends we're all 40 something. Wish it were here longer because now I want to go with Mom, daughter & sister in law. Great fun. I did feel a little bad for the 3 guys scattered in the audience ; ) Definetely a show for women.

The musical talent was good, but story line was weak. A bit of a disappointment.

    A GREAT GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!

by radqueen on 10/11/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Very talented cast--good vocals, interaction with audience, cast members (ESPECIALLY Sharon the Angel) were energized==and energizing. A lot of fun--wish it could have been a little longer--cramming 3 different events into a short time span in the same venue doesn't allow any relaxation!!

    It was a fair show.

    by Disappointed27 on 10/11/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

It was an average show. I had a hard time being able to hear the lyrics in the beginning of the show but it seemd to improve.

    Emotional Rollercoaster

by boagirls on 10/9/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Everyone going into it was expecting a really fun show. They brought the show down really quickly at the beginning with the main character being an angel who explained that she had been a teenager who died 22 years ago and left behind a two month old baby! It was basically about a disfunctional group of friends with some great music thrown in.

Girls Night Out was just what it was!

by Betsuejan on 10/9/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

It was not Mama Mia, but had a good variety of songs. The "angel" part was a little much and downbeat at times. The girls all sang great and played their roles well. Glad we went and are still picking up feathers from our boas two days later!

Great night out with my 22 year old daughter. I think she was a little taken aback by the blatent comments throughout the play. Oh ya, such a wake up for the new women of the world. Loved the music and the play tremendously.

    Girl's Night Out

by Acky on 10/9/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Went with my two sisters......very good night. The play was advertised as being somewhat 'raunchy'....and it was....and that was FUNNY....if you have a good sense of humor, you'll definately enjoy this show. Have a "Girl's Night Out" and see "Girl's Night Out"....you won't be disappointed.

    Definately not for guys!

by jacobac on 5/17/10Paradise Live - Hollywood

When I arrived with my friend, I quickly realized how I was only 1 of 3 men in the entire room. The host made it pretty clear that it was a total chick thing. But that's ok, it was unforgettable nonetheless. It was something new I hadn't experienced. Most guys would not go into see one of these types of events, but it's hilarious to get a female comedic perspective on life.
