Brutal play. Carrie mulligan is beyond fabulous Cannot imagine how she does the show 7 days/week. She puts in an amazing performance

Carrie Mulligan's performance in this one- person show is so extraordinary that I pity any theatergoer who misses it! "Girls and Boys" gives this extraordinary actress a chance to demonstrate her incredible acting skills and flawless technique that is absolutely dazzling!

Carey Mulligan had us on the edges of our seats for 90 minutes. She is wonderful in a one-woman presentation of a beautifully-written play that is both very funny and heart-wrenching. The entire production was excellent, however, there were lines that - even with hearing devices - could not be understood due to her rich Cockney accent. We're so glad we were able to see this performance!

The reviews raved but I found this very disappointing. Now funny, I was embarrassed for the audience over-reaction for each lame attempt as a joke, the acting was poor, the script was boring, nothing inspiring or moving about it. The endless profanities serve no purpose whatsoever, they don't shock, they don't add to the monolog - overall just very disappointing.

Astonishing performance. A tour de force. But that first row of balcony has zero legroom.

Tremendous play. Carey was beyond amazing - I got so lost in the story she was telling that I almost forgot it was a play.

carrey mulligan is really bad in this play....i think the play is a good play but when you dont hear it..you dont know if its good or not. she speeds through it and with the thick british accent that she chooses to use with her consonants that are swallowed .i didnt understand half of the play, except when she slows down and does the dialogue do i hear it. she does 2 poses - one to the right and one to the left. people walked out during the performance and i wish i had been one of them. after seeing billy cudrups brilliant performance at the minetta earlier this year -(with a british accent that i heard every word of) i felt that i had just thrown my money into the garbage can. my guest couldnt wait to leave the theater either.

Carrie Mulligan is amazing, there is humor, realism and tragedy.

So happy I went to see this show, what an amazing performance by Carey Mulligan. I felt jet-lagged leaving the theatre I was so invested in the story. The show is full of humour and charm, but please don't forget your kleenex.

Carey Mulligan is an incredible actress. This could have been such a slog but she has a way with really intimate, difficult material that makes you feel, particularly in this production that she is confessing to a friend (the audience). I also liked the direction. For something like this, there shouldn't be a lot of busy-ness going on. At times I looked for the dinosaur on the shelf - it's white, it's been painted, now it's gone. Even though everything is washed out in the apt. it also looks sort of lived in. Again, what an amazing actress. Good venue too. Good play - not amazing. It's served incredibly well by the actress. It must be something to listen to, on audible. Wow.

She was perfection. We had the privilege of sitting first row center. Thus saw saw every grimace inflection etc. Mulligan’s body movements especially regarding the non existent children were mesmerizing and then after the mxas

An amazing production, play and the performance was something I will never forget. Ms. Mulligan is a genius playing an ordinary woman in extraordinary circumstances. The play has humor and then punches you in the gut. Ms. Mulligan was totally present at every moment with a generosity of giving to the audience that is rare to behold. Beautiful job on all fronts. Beautiful and heart-breaking.

This was one of the best written plays I've seen in a long time. The build and the coloring and the dynamics were sensational. And such a surprise to find it was written by a man. Carrey Mulligan was amazing. I don't know how she can maintain the energy and remember all those lines and actually be the person she plays for all that time...it was a privilege to watch such a performance. Don't miss it!

"Girls & Boys" & Cary Mulligan -- what a thrilling experience. The play was fascinating & powerful . I'm still thinking about it...and will for awhile. Already told a "theater" friend it's a must- see. If you love theater. GO! Buy your ticket now!

The play was outstanding & Carey Mulligan's performance was amazing. However, the theater was less than ideal. The seats are too narrow & there should be access to the right hand side of the balcony by the existing staircase rather than making performance attendees walk across aisles full of other attendees already sitting.

Mulligan is with out a doubt amazing, and she has some pretty heavy material to work with. BUT the British accent is really thick, and the depth of emotion leads to really rapid fire delivery. As a result, a lot of what she is saying is unintelligible. She delivered a tour de fore for 1 hour and 50 minutes. She must be completely spent at the end. I know that I was!

The play was superbly presented and the acting was top notch. Can’t say enough about the difficulty in doing a near 2 hr one person performance. But it could have been about 15 minutes shorter without detracting from the play’s significance. It turned into a Public Service Announcement by the end. Just wasn’t necessary.

Carey Mulligan gave an outstanding, mesmerizing solo performance. I was in awe of her energy to sustain a tough performance. It is difficult material and difficult in parts to listen to-but Ms. Mulligan held my attention.

Carey Mulligan is enthralling in this exquisitely written play by Dennis Kelly. I was riveted. So many funny lines, poignant moments, and very challenging emotional turns. I highly recommend Girls & Boys. Highly.

Don't know what to say other than I had no idea what this was going in, and that it completely destroyed me! If you want to cry for half an hour after a play this is the one for you!! In all seriousness, Carey Mulligan was absolutely incredible and held her own in a one woman show with incredibly difficult themes and scenes.
