    Disappointed

by pk_reviews on 9/26/23Andiamo Celebrity Showroom - Warren

First off, I love Gino Vannelli. I first saw him at the University Of Alberta back 1975. Fantastic experience. That was then. Now. Very little of this concert hearkened back those old days. Venue Only thing that was positive was the quality of the food. Very Noisy (even during the concert), Busy because of food servers and people milling around, all the time. I tried extensively to pre determine if photography was allowed. The venue could not verify. An announcement was made at the beginning of the concert. No movie/video photography. I could live with that. I started taking photos with my mirrorless camera. within 10 minutes (one song) a security guard informed me that I could not photograph stills of the concert. Quite intimidating and he hung out near me for most of the time I spent at the concert. Not good. The sound system/mixing was atrocious. Could not understand Gino 80% of the time. When the horns would kick in the whole sound system began ringing. Nothing could be clearly heard. Only when quiet ballads were performed could Gino be heard. The sound was so bad that we both had to plug our ears during the medium to loud passages. Gino Soooo. I expected a deterioration of vocal capability due to time and age. I've heard my share of older bands in the present time. What we heard from Gino was just disappointing. High notes were screechie, often times off key. Couldn't hear him that well due to mixing and sound system. I was in the VIP seats so one should expect good sound. His best performances that night were in the mid range and very light on the band accompaniment. Bottom line. Very sceptical of Andiamo for future events. Don't know if the sound would improve. might give it one more try. Gino, I had hoped to be transported into your world of music. Unfortunately I was not. The quality just wasn't there. I must admit we left after about an hour and 20 minutes. We just couldn't endure it any more PK

Gino was great! Venue not so great.

by Julio on 9/26/23Andiamo Celebrity Showroom - Warren

Have been a fan of Gino's since the early 80s. His voice is stronger than ever. He comes across as very friendly, telling stories, etc. The venue - Andiamo Showroom in Warren, MI - was awful. It's a good thing they have screens to watch the show as I could not see the stage at all. There is no sloped floor or elevated seating. They crammed so many people in that I wondered if the fire dept would approve!

    Mesmerizing Concert

by Eyedoc on 9/24/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Gino Vannelli has a voice that is unparalleled. His music, his showmanship, his command of his voice is simply mesmerizing. My wife and I enjoyed the Cincinnati performance so much that we’re attending the Pittsburgh show this Friday. His voice…did I mention his voice? His band won’t disappoint you either. No fancy dance steps, just talent mastering their instruments. Go. See. Listen. You won’t be disappointed!

    Fifth Gino Concert

by Ranae on 9/19/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Gino Vannelli's music swept me off my feet back in the 70s. He's been my absolute favorite ever since. He has the most mesmerizing voice and a top notch band too. This was my 5th Gino concert. Gino always puts on a magnificent show!

    Beyond spectacular!!!...

by Marshall 1978 on 9/19/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

I cannot express how much I enjoyed listening to Gino Vannelli at the Ludlow Garage last Saturday...a voice that has aged unbelievably well along with an entourage that that played like a big band on a stage the size of a postage stamp...the seating area was cramped and not conducive to seeing the stage, and the facility was a fire trap waiting to happen, especially with the older crowd we had...nevertheless, I wouldn't have missed it for anything and was worth the trip from Columbus to Cincinnati...

by Mark on 9/19/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

First time back in The Ludlow Garage since the early 70s. Very impressed. Gino Vannelli and his group were extremely impressive. Gino still has a strong voice and his group of musicians were studio quality.

It's been a couple of decades since I was blessed to see him in concert. He was incredible and left the crowd wanting more! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Tight band and his vocals still gave me goosebumps! Love his motion 'leading' the band! I yelled out "Take me back GINO"...he sure did! Thanks Gino!!!

    A Wonderful Evening

by Redlinesnut on 9/19/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

This was a great show! The song selection covered his entire career. Vocals were smooth and soothing. Gino provided brief commentary between songs that added significance and value to the overall performance. The supporting musicians were talented and driven to create a enriched experience. A real tip of the hat needs to be given to the Ross, who was working the soundboard. The balance created by the sound board was perfect. One of the best mixes I have ever listened to at the Ludlow Garage. Overall, an excellent performance by all. Highly recommended!

A great time was had by all

by BW3 on 9/19/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Gino is my age, 71, and he is still one of the greatest voices in the whole rock Era, and also saw him in Cleveland 40 plus years ago. His jazz rock is unique, and recently its more jazzy than ever and he tells great stories to, like the time he was mistaken for Andrea Bocelli. His albums from Crazy Life on are great and do not lose their luster over the last half century. His live performances including this one are electric and this one in Cinci was no different. His band as well are all pros at their instruments whether it's a rock or a jazz number. I have seen hundreds of bands and concerts since 1965, and as someone who used to work in the Record Bar chain sold thousands of albums and tickets, and few artists have the talent or song writing and performance skill of Gino. Everyone who loves the music of our Era should do all they to catch his show while possible. BW3

    Your Theater

by L. D. on 3/6/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

I enjoyed Gino Vannelli & his band. I am disappointed that the noise was muffled in the Parker Playhouse. I have seen three shows & I have had the experience of it being too loud & the beautiful sounds muffled. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back to your theater until you fix the problem. I have spoken to other friends who have been at the Parker Playhouse & also feel the same way I do. You have good bands attending your theater, yet, we cannot enjoy them fully with what is going on in the background. Hope you figure this out sooner than later.

    Gino kills it

by Meade on 3/4/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Unbelievable performance by Gino and his band. Couldn’t believe it was their first concert in 3 1/2 years. Gino’s vocals were great and his band was so tight. Patrick Lamb did an incredible job on sax as well as background vocals.

    You sold my seats

by Youknowmyname on 3/4/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

The seats of my choice where given to someone else and I was re-directed no explanation given. That is inadmissible. This destroyed the evening for everybody. you deserve zero stars.
