Ghostemane In Concert
On paper, a Ghostemane performance might be billed as a rap show. In reality, however, the experience is much closer to a no-holds-barred, hardcore punk house show. With his intense, shouted delivery and industrial and metal-inspired trap beats, Ghostemane shows are known to quickly explode into giant mosh pits. Expect breathless triple-time raps, high-energy head-banging, heavy doses of shredding, and all-around recklessness. The Florida native brought his dark debauchery on the road for 2017's You Won't Survive This tour, which featured support from Wavey Jone$, Chxpo, and Nedarb. European fans can catch the silver-haired rapper on a month-long stretch of shows in 2019, from London to Paris to Amsterdam.
Ghostemane Background
If rappers are the new rock stars, Ghostemane takes the sentiment to its logical extreme. Born Eric Whitney, the rapper, producer, and multi-instrumentalist came up in the hardcore punk scene in his hometown of West Palm Beach, Florida. To this day, his biggest inspirations exist in the realm of metal, screamo, and grindcore. But when his former bandmate introduced him to the shadowy, occult-leaning world of Memphis horrorcore, something clicked. These days, Ghostemane makes rap music that often sounds very little like rap music at all. His brash, triple-time bars coexist with harsh noise, heavy guitar riffs, and primal screams. His lyrics are mired in darkness, with a penchant for eerie mysticism (see "Kybalion," named for a century-old Hermetic philosophy). But Ghostemane's found his place among a recent upswell of face-tatted nihilists who exist in the extremes between rap and rock (until 2016, he was part of the Schemaposse collective, which once included the late Lil Peep — a kindred spirit to Ghostemane, although less hardcore in sound). Ghostemane's output has been wildly prolific, releasing seven EPs and 10 full-length albums since 2014; his latest, 2018's N/O/I/S/E, is a raw, visceral portrait from the inside of a downward spiral.

This was literally the best show ive EVER been to! Hands down, the dopest dope! Thanks guys!
This took me forever to finally figure out how to do a review. 😂😂 But words cannot possibly explain how this concert was. This was the first concert I’ve ever been to and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Ghostemane did NOT disappoint whatsoever. I’ve loved him and his music for a long time now but seeing him in person made the love grow 10 times more. He was everything I expected and more. 🖤 I can’t wait for him to come back to Dallas because I will DEFINITELY be there again, no ifs ands or buts about it. 💯
I've been going to concerts for 16 years and this was BY FAR one of the best shows that I've ever been to! This goes for all genres of music (I'm a metal head but like everything). I wish that I was going to another one of his shows!
Show was amazing with a lot of love sweat and tears poured into to the production. Eric always out does himself ever tour. Keep on supporting Ghostemane and everything he does.
I think a better audience would’ve made this event better. Also it ended at 9:45pm what decent show ever ends before 10pm?
Ghostemane was absolutely legendary, as always. I had never been to House of Blues before, and I was very impressed by the beautiful venue itself as well as the staff. In the time since I bought my ticket I sustained a back injury and on the day of the show was in far too much pain to stand/mosh with general admission, so I called the box office to see if there was somewhere within my ticket area that I could bring a walker or rollator. They placed me on the list for ADA accessible seating, and when I got to the venue the valet took me directly inside to get my ticket scanned immediately. Staff escorted me straight to my seat with no waiting and helped me every step of the way. There was an awesome staff member near my seat named Chuck who made things so much easier for me. The ADA section was in the balcony with a great view and I could sit the whole time. Everything was perfect, a huge relief because I have never required accomodations like this before and House of Blues made the whole process easy and comfortable. It was an amazing night and I would go back anytime.
It was probably one of the best concerts I have been to. Everybody was hype and having fun... except the dudes fighting in the pit, but whatever
Ghostemane does not disappoint! Amazing show and setlist! Love his goth vibe!
for as small as that theater was there was a lot of good energy. ghostemane is such a good performer and kept the energy up all night.
It was FREEZING in the venue making it uncomfortable for those not in the mosh pit. I wish there were hand washing stations for the portapotties outside. I also wish they would've gave you the option of joining VIP tables upon purchasing general admission, instead of having you make the choice last minute
This was my third time seeing Ghostemane. I saw him twice in San Diego. Once when he went on tour with Horse Head in February 2018 and once when he was on the NOISE tour in November 2018. Since this tour didn't have a San Diego date and the Santa Ana show was the day agter my birthday I decided to drive up to Santa Ana. I fonally got to see Horus The Astroneer live, which I have been waiting for years. Harms way played, which is an amazing band especially live. I also got to see Lil Tracy live for the third time. I saw him one in 2017 during the Peep Show Tour and once a couple of months ago on his mini tour. Everyone put on an amazing show 100% would drive up to Santa Ana again for Ghostemane
Definitely the best night of my life. I enjoyed seeing Eric live and in person. I’ve waited for that moment for years now. I would love to see him at the Underground again.
This was the best concert of my life!! I had so much fun and miss it so much!
I will always come back to him. Insane show. It felt so intimate and raw. Obsessed.
Venue was awesome! Easily the sickest show I’ve ever been to. The Masquerade (Hell stage at least, this was my first show there) has a bar at the back which is awesome. There’s a curved walkway with railing that goes over the outer edge of the pit. Never heard of Vein (the opener) but they were hard. Amazing metal/electronic fusion and killer energy. Then Ghoste’s DJ played some bangers. Then Wavy Jone$ came out and killed it. Then there was the Ghostemane show. The main event... no words. Wall of death, circle pits, and people even jumped the upper walkway railing into the pit after Ghostemane offered every item on the merch table for free to the first person to do it. Crowd surfing and stage diving. Security gave up at the end. Crazy amazing energy and I met and talked to some cool people from all over. Was an amazing night. No problems with staff or anything. Great venue with awesome style/aesthetic.
I absolutely loved Ghostemane at the Masquerade!!! I got to just let loose & mosh.
