About

Coming off a last few years defined by an American Music Award and iHeart Radio Award-winning international #1 album, an RIAA-certified platinum single, and a massive world tour immortalized in a box office record-breaking feature film, 2025 is poised to be GHOST’s busiest, most ambitious and outright biggest year to date. Having revealed the existence of SKELETÁ, the forthcoming sixth album from the GRAMMY-winning Swedish theatrical rock icons, and its insidiously melodic lead single “Satanized,” GHOST has only begun the next phase of its inevitable path to world domination. With hundreds of thousands of tickets already sold for the first leg of the SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR 2025 featuring the band’s first-ever headline date at Madison Square Garden, GHOST is poised to bring the most introspective and inward-focused material of the band’s career to vivid life—and in suitably grandiose style: The SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR 2025 will feature the debut of the newly anti-christened Papa V Perpetua, as he presides over a phantasmagoric new production that promises to elevate the live rituals that propelled the band's debut feature film RITE HERE RITE NOW to become the highest grossing hard rock cinema event in North American history. SKELETÁ and its accompanying tour stand to radically grow the always burgeoning, uniquely impassioned and unflaggingly loyal legions who eat, sleep and dress GHOST. From longtime devoted disciples to the curious uninitiated, all will be welcomed to find communion, salvation and escape in SKELETÁ and the ever-expanding world of GHOST.

  • Unholy Hell! Ghost was phenomenal!

by OpheliaSWeb on 9/28/15Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first concert in many moons. Although I enjoyed Ghost's music too, I purchased the tickets as a gift to my husband for our second anniversary. I did not expect to like their live show so much. They rock so much harder live!! These guys were high energy, and very dynamic. They put on an amazing show. We will be going every time they come our way - it was that great. The supporting act wasn't awful but they did not have the energy you would expect opening for Ghost. Purson's lead is an amazing singer. But even with her belting out the lyrics, you could just barely hear her over the band. Not that the band was bad but the 70's psychedelic maybe just wasn't my thing? The venue was older and a bit run down - I really wish they would fix the bar stools on the upper level! But the place was the perfect size for an almost intimate experience. My husband and I weren't sure we could handle standing the entire time (we're older folks and desk jockeys at that) but there was a nice spot centered to the stage in the back upper level where we hung out with other folks in our age group. I don't think we would've enjoyed the concert any more than we did even if we were young and spry enough to be on the lower level in front of the stage. The venue is set up perfectly for all age groups. Great seats for us, great entertainment from the band, great people in the crowd. It was an awesome experience.

  • Amazing show

by snowpanties on 9/28/15STAGE AE - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Ghost put on an amazing show here, they sounded great, everything was clear. Only complaint would be the keyboard needed to be higher up in the mix a bit. Great atmosphere and sound, and an amazing artist put on a perfect show.

  • Ghost was fantastic!

    by Devilspider13 on 9/28/15STAGE AE - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

The opener was pretty bad, which is why most of the crowd hung outside until they finished. Ghost put on a great show, including a great acoustic version of Jigolo Har Megiddo. Monstrance clock was the perfect finished that had the whole crowd chanting. Can't wait to see them again.

  • Still Ghoulish After All These Years...

by Anonymous on 9/28/15STAGE AE - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

It's already been 5 years since Ghost released their first demo and they're no worse for wear. In fact, since then, they've released 3 original studio records and 1 ghoulishly-flavored covers EP. As anyone who would attend their shows or buy their records is aware, they are a very theatrical group, with a frontman who stands in as some sort of undead pope and a band that dresses uniformly as an ever evolving faceless clergy. Their music is somewhere between Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult with big sexy riffs that remind one of "Maggot Brain" era Parliament Funkadelic and an overt British (Beatles) and Swedish (Abba) pop music influence. Then let's not forget the Mercyful Fate lyrical content, albeit slightly more concealed under the always humorous veil of religious iconography and Roman Catholic ritual terminology. Now, moving on. Ghost seems to drop by Pittsburgh once a year and so I make sure to see them every year as they are one of the few truly successful newer bands playing traditional heavy metal these days. Leaving the venue Friday night I was filled with the same level of joy I experienced the last two nights I spent with this gang of Swedish ghouls. The first year they played Altar Bar but like all bands whose following and record sales see an upswing, they begin filling up Stage AE. Supporting band Purson was musically tight with a likable Frontwoman, heavy psychedelic riffs, and a very tasteful use of keyboards. Imagine Janis Joplin, Uriah Heep, and Bolin era Deep Purple jamming out together. I own their first album "Circle and the Blue Door," and after witnessing this performance I purchased their recent EP. Ghost took the stage roughly 45 minutes later and as I have said, I found them just as fresh, fun, and musically sound as ever. Papa's vocals seemed a little drowned in the mix sometimes and I can't blame the venue because I saw King Diamond perform here a mere 10 months ago and his vocals were as clear as blue skies. However, the mix wasn't so distracting as to impede my enjoyment of his spooky delivery. Of course, if you missed a verse it wasn't like you couldn't get it from the crowd. I was impressed how into the show everyone in attendance seemed to be and how they knew the lyrics to almost every song. I found myself trying to out-sing Papa and had this been a death metal show everyone would have told me to shut up. Plus they would have elbowed me in the back as they started a random moshing session. I witnessed no moshing at this show and thank (God/Satan?) for that. The guitar riffs and drum beats are just as groovy and blood-pumping as they are on record and the Hammond Organ that opens "Majesty" gave me chills, remembering the late great Jon Lord. Papa changed clothes, a first. I've never known him to wear anything other than his pope garb. Well, except for in the "Papaganda" promos released before "Infesstisumam" where we saw him in waistcoat, tie, and aviators. But at the midpoint of the show he returned to the stage dressed like Bela Lugosi as Dracula, a move he has been doing at the acoustic shows the band has staged at record stores around the country. In closing, if you like what you've heard on record and have thought about seeing these guys live I suggest you do it. You can't be disappointed. It's Ghost.

  • Ghost Concert

by Anonymous on 9/28/15STAGE AE - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Was one hell of a concert Papa is a very good crowd pleaser and performer. Definitely blew the other concerts all out of the water. Highly recommend and hopefully see this band live again.

  • Ghost - Hail Papa!

by BlackdeathandMetal on 9/28/15Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Ghost's blend of subversive lyrics, musical skill, and searing stage presence was worth the cost.

  • ghost was amazing as usual

  • Ghost is unbelievable live

by Itiscorey on 9/26/15Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Easily one of the best live shows I have ever been to. Ghost does not fail to deliver an amazing and fun atmosphere

  • Ridiculous

    by hotboi007 on 9/26/15Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

That is why I love them. Best show of the year. They need to visit the states more often. Funny them being in town the same time as the pope and when papa called the pope fancy pants frankie I almost dropped my beer.

  • Amazing show!

    by Alynne13 on 9/26/15Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first concert in many years! Purson is great and put on an awesome show. Ghost was beyond amazing! They killed it! They played for about 2hours and it was awesome! Their live sound is almost CD quality! The venue was great, loved the balcony. Even with a sold out show, it didn't feel overly crowded at all.

  • Ghost is an absolutely amazing band!

    by nitbree716 on 9/26/15Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This was, hands down, the best show I've ever been to. The venue itself was great--just the right size for an intimate, close-up concert. The opening band, Purson, sounded awesome! They are so unique, and their style is so cool! One of my new favorite bands. And Ghost never disappoints. They put on one hell of a show every time! The lighting and theatrics set the mood that the fans really respond to--the entire crowd was singing along and were just as ecstatic as I was to be there! They sounded amazing. If you ever get the chance to see Ghost (or Purson), I highly recommend that you do!

  • by Anonymous on 5/10/14Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing ! Ghost is an amazing band !

  • One of the best shows I've been to

by Nrussillo on 5/10/14Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Ghost put on one of the best concerts I've ever been to! And after all the concerts I've been to that's definitely saying something! I'd for sure put it in my top 3! Their sound was absolutely fantastic, they are some very talented, very skilled and very serious musicians! The whole show, whether it was the cool setup of the elevated drummer and keyboardist, or the incense that made it the best smelling venue I've ever been to, was fantastic. On a last note, I have never heard an audience become more alive then during Year Zero, one experience I will never forget!

  • A Whole New World

by HammerofNick on 5/10/14Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

As an avid concert goes I was pretty sure what I was to expect from my friend bringing me to this concert. How very wrong I was, from the chanting Latin intro to the incense and the sheer appreciation the band shows for each and every one of the people that came through the door this was one of the greatest concert experiences of my entire life. The bands entire mission seemed to be to transport each and everyone of us into their world and for a short period of time on this god forsaken planet to bring us into their world and show us all the light. It was an amazing experience from start to finish this was one of the greatest concert experiences or experiences of my entire life period.

  • Ghost

by M4G3RK on 5/6/14House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was appropriate for the crowd size. The sound quality was great. Ghost put on a fantastic show. If I had one gripe it would be that beer was a little over priced even for a concert.

  • Amazing show!

by untwilight on 5/6/14House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This show was simply out of this world. Both acts were amazing. Ghost are a force to be reckoned with. They are absolutely mesmerizing.

  • Ghost put the Haunt in Haunting

by TK5151 on 5/6/14House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This band implanted their tunes permanently in my brain. I can't get over how tight members work with each other. I would put the guitarist up against anyone's metal guitar. Papa Emeritus can sing anything, and he's a great showman. Can't wait till their return!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!

by srlog on 5/5/14House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Ghost is my favorite band and they never disappoint! They always put on a crazy amazing show!!! I personally also enjoyed the opening act, King Dude as well! Can't wait for them to come back!!!!
