Good, but not great.
by Village Idiot on 3/2/24Rating: 4 out of 5The Ghost Hounds concert at the Roxian Theater on February 16 was very enjoyable. The theater is an outstanding venue with comfortable seating, good sightlines, and great acoustics. The band appeared to enjoy themselves and it showed in their performance. The band, including the recently added musicians, performed well together. They sounded great. The new lead singer was good, but his voice lacked the quality, richness, and unique character of the former lead singer. At times the singing reminded me of a karaoke performer without a distinctive sound. Nonetheless, I love this band and their songs. I remain an avid fan who looks forward to more shows, but a singer with bluesy qualities would improve what I heard.
