George Dalaras, Rembetiko
by catchat on 11/23/14Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5George Dalaras, the legend, was fantastic. The two women singers, Athena Lampiri, Aspasia Stratigou, were wonderful, so was the orchestra. They sang the best of Rembetiko, and they sang for 2.5 hours non-stop. In case you don't know, Rembetiko are the older, moving folk songs of Greece. It was a sing-along, clap-along love fest. I wish he would come here more often.
Devilsgal
by devisgal on 11/23/14Town Hall - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5It was good but I would have rather he do some of his noteworthy songs. One of the two female singers was not as good as the other. The instruments they were played were very good and sound was good
Great as usual
by Zoe12345 on 11/23/14Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5Great choice of music. If only he would just keep playing for hours! He's my all-time favorite.
