  • An absolute blast!

by Wendy C on 11/1/25North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

We laughed, we sang, we danced in the aisles. Edwin McCain as a surprise guest was fantastic and we had a ball. If you are Gen X, you will LOVE this show. Everyone was hilarious!

  • such a fun night

by MyShelly on 10/29/25North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

the whole show was just so entertaining and so much fun. Even my boomer bestie had a great time! The music, the comedy, it all brought back why GenX is the best!

  • Was expecting more

by LB on 10/29/25North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 3 out of 5

the first 2 comedians were really good, however the slim Sherri- had to use que cards- not professional. The last comedian was very disappointing the entire time was spent on one theme- taking a shit. that was his entire act.

  • The Gen X-ers were out in Force!

by Smithin on 10/14/25Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 4 out of 5

Fun show especially the sign along at the end. Keep in mind that these are social media influencers - not comedians. They are just getting started and I think the show will improve with more experience. I loved that it was sponsored by AARP but would have loved if they used the screens to add to their performance rather than advertise their sponsor. All in all, I would see it again!

  • GenX Comedy Tour

by CC on 10/13/25Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 4 out of 5

I missed the event; I had an anxiety episode and left. Never even entered the doors. Parking was a nightmare, and not knowing where to go, in an unfamiliar place, with night-time driving was a 'no' from me. I enjoy the content of the creators and I'm sorry I couldn't enjoy the event.

  • Not Funny at All-Waste of $

by Teresa on 10/13/25Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 1 out of 5

I was looking forward to this event so much because I enjoy all of their content on TT! Not only did I not laugh out loud one time, I didn’t even break a chuckle. It seemed like each person was only on stage 15-20 min. There was no merch, which I was actually glad bc if I would have bought some before the show, I would have returned it. I was extremely disappointed.

  • GenX Takeover was FANTABULOUS!!!!

by Chris P (KrispyNotCrunchy) on 10/12/25Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 5 out of 5

The whole crew was hilarious!!!! Each had their own memories that we all went through and what's happening now with our lives as we age. Had to laugh and sing along with all the songs!!! Thanks for the memories and hope to see them all again soon!!!!! EQC in Tacoma had great seating and great view from the 5th row. My best friend from high school and I went to the show. Class of 1987!!!!

  • An absolute riot!

    by a.b. on 10/12/25Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 5 out of 5

That was a night! I haven't laughed that much in a long time. The Comedy Takeover was a pure blast, especially sharing the experience with my fellow Gen Xers. While "The Professor,"Nick Harrison, undeniably stole the show, Kelly, Sherri, and the "Dadbod Veteran"were all amazing. It was a surreal experience: being there in person, relating to all the comedy and music, and laughing until I was crying and gasping for air! What made the evening truly memorable was the genuine comfort I felt. As someone on the autism spectrum, and sober for the night, I felt completely at ease and at home with the Gen X crowd—and that is saying a lot! The atmosphere was perfectly set by the music, which seamlessly wove the acts together before getting everyone on their feet, dancing, singing along, and cheering until the show was over.

  • GenX TakeOver was Awesome

by Nan Brett on 10/12/25Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 5 out of 5

It was great laughing about all things I grew up experiencing and the things I am currently going through as I get older. It was like hanging out with 2300 of my closest friends. Performers are just as great in person as they are in person as on tiktoc.
