by Terri on 5/14/25Mohegan Sun Arena - UncasvilleRating: 1 out of 5

Gene Simmons is a very ordinary musician and the concert was way too loud. Terrible.

  • Excellent show

  • Gene Simmons Band

by Angelo on 5/12/25The Paramount in concert with Northwell - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Everything you love and expect from Gene, his bolder than life persona, his excellent performance, his tight connection with his audience, excellent songs and an amazing group of musicians accompanying him, Jason Walker, Brent Woods, and Brian Tichy, add a hard grit to the classic songs and Transcending vocals. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW! Love it !!! LOUD

  • Gene Simmons Band, Paramount Theater Huntington NY

by Lou Acosta on 5/12/25The Paramount in concert with Northwell - HuntingtonRating: 4 out of 5

A 3 1/2 star review would be more accurate if I was given a choice. What I loved: the venue - for a Gene Simmons show it was surprisingly intimate and accessible much like the club tours of the early 90’s. Gene sounded amazing and seemed to be having a carefree genuine great time up there connecting with the fans in this much more scaled-down show and venue (as opposed to KISS shows and tours). The band was extremely tight. Musically - better value than KISS shows from the past 10-15 years. What I didn’t love: The set list. With the exception of a couple of covers and demos, we’ve heard the majority of these songs for the past 25 or so years. The only real special performance was “Charisma.” Given the catalogue and even his own solo album, I was truly disappointed to not have Gene dip into that deep catalogue and outside his comfort zone. The set list was a tremendous missed opportunity for Gene and to make this a truly memorable show for fans. Pacing: Gene’s stage banter took up way too much duration bandwidth in the show. A lot of his humor really misses the mark and makes him come off as the creepy boomer. Really man- read the room. Read the world! Again…the set list…no one cares about you doing your cover of Van Halen’s House of Pain. It was obvious he used that song to preface with again; very bloated stage banter and the story we’ve heard a million times of how Gene found Van Halen. Hot take - their performance of House of Pain was a mess. His need to inflate his self importance really took away from what had the potential to be a very special show. Listen, I had a great time and was entertained. But bottom line- a missed opportunity of what could have been...what SHOULD HAVE BEEN.

  • Gene was interesting

by Jack on 5/12/25The Paramount in concert with Northwell - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing Gene Simmons Band. I have to say the musicianship was pretty tight. I get where you wanna bring people up on stage, but it was a bit much at times. I would rather just hear the band, but I get where it’s exciting for the person and also for the band interact with their fans in that manner. And I have to say the music was great well worth seeing and I would go again.

  • Absolutely Spectacular!!!

A Memory that I will cherish forever. Gene and his Band were Amazing.

  • Gene blew the roof off

by hard rocking Gene on 5/9/25The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5

Gene and his band played a lot of classic Kiss which was great to me. But they played it with a much harder edge than KISS ever did. PLUS BIG BONUS they played Bad Reputation from my all time favorite band Thin Lizzy. And the night I went, Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Wellmont in Montclair, NJ the one and only Tommy James came out and sang Mony Mony.

  • The music was good

by Har on 5/9/25The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 3 out of 5

Way too much talking was somewhat confusing hard to understand with the microphone wasn’t clear other people were getting agitated and were talking among themselves

  • Well worth it

by The Big Guy on 5/9/25Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Just a solid night with Gene and his amazing group of musicians pounding out great music. No Pyro, no makeup, no spitting blood or fire, just music and Gene being Gene...poking at audience, band and crew, audience and us all having fun.

  • Super - Not just a show - An Experience

by Barakawins on 5/8/25Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show! I went in thinking it was just going to be a rock show but it was more! Gene interacted with the audience, invited fans up on stage, told some jokes, played a super cool set list! It was not just a show. Both guitar players were super spot on and talented.. We heard some zeppelin, ZZ Top and Beatles too! But of course tons of Kiss songs and good classics too! Very memorable show. If you’re a kiss fan, you have to see this show. Don’t think, just go!

  • Yap, yap, yap.

by Jones on 5/8/25Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 2 out of 5

Stop talking and just sing. 😠 Gene does love the sound of his voice. Too many bad jokes and not enough singing. Yikes! The band was fantastic though.

  • Still got it!!!!

by Snow Cat on 5/8/25Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Wow I was blown away by the energy of Gene and his band. Great fan interaction made it feel even more intimate. Without spoiling the set list I’ll say it wasn’t all Kiss music as the band did amazing covers of four other very famous bands. A must see now that Kiss has “retired”. Another great show at the Count Baisie where every seat is perfect.

  • Little Disappointed

by Dragon Master on 5/8/25Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 3 out of 5

Just a little disappointed. No merchandise for sale. Not as good of a show compared to the Ace Frehley show 3 days before. All in all the show was OK at best.

  • Still in top form

by LarryF on 5/8/25Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Gene was full of life and sounded great. His band was terrific. The sound was raw but polished. I had a great time.

  • Incredible Show

by Dr. Karakashian on 5/5/25Rating: 5 out of 5

This was a great show. Several KISS hits were included and there was plenty of audience participation. Here is the setlist: Deuce Shout It Out Loud Are You Ready War Machine I Love It Loud House of Pain (Van Halen cover) Ace of Spades (Motörhead cover) Jam Parasite Cold Gin Bad Reputation Charisma Spit / Whole Lotta Love And Your Bird Can Sing (The Beatles cover) Calling Dr. Love Rock and Roll All Nite

  • Awful

    by Packerfan96 on 5/5/25Rating: 1 out of 5

Worse concert I have ever seen. Looked like a bad Saturday night live skit. Beaver Dam Kentucky was horrible his jokes and the people he had up there to sing back up was a complete disaster. The people who paid were the losers that night.

  • Gene Simmons & Solo band are the best!!!

Gene is only getting better with age and he has always gone out of his way to give fans the best experience. This show was no exception. Not only did they sound amazing but the interaction with the crowd was so cool! Getting to get on stage with Gene is something I’ll never forget!!!

  • Like Millions, I would have loved to hug Gene

by PetieB74 on 9/24/18Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center - VeronaRating: 5 out of 5

I went with my youngest daughter for the simple reason her uncle my brother, loved the KiSS band to the Moon and Back Infinity times. It was the first concert I brought him to when he was a young boy and I was only 6 years older than him. We pretty much stood next to the giant speakers. We were as close as could be. My brother had everything Kiss. Even 4 foot statues of them all. His favorite was Gene and his tongue. My brother left this earth at age 45. My heart has been broken in half. He was the sweetest funniest guy in the world and loved my kids. So me and my youngest Tiffany went to listen to Gene and his band for My brother and her Uncle Ron. And Gene still has the vocals, amazing voice still and his band truly has voices that compare to no one! They make the perfect back ups to Gene. It was a perfect show, but not sure how he picks people to go up to the stage. I would have thought my daughter with her purple awesome hair would have been one to go up.
