Best Gear Daddies show I've ever seen!

by gdfann on 9/19/10Fine Line Music Cafe - Minneapolis

As much as I enjoy watching them at all the outdoor venues, it was fantastic to see them back in the bar scene where they got started. AMAZING show! Please play at the Fine Line again!

Dancing Back in Time with the Daddies

by MillyMom on 6/22/10Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

Last Saturday 5 friends of mine (2 of them LONG TIME DADDY fans - I proudly wore my 1992 concert T) went to the Zoo to catch the band and had a blast as we were taken back in time to our college years. Anyone who has never been to a Zoo concert is certainly missing out on one of the best venues in the MN. Not a bad seat in the house and what a great setting with the Tigers roaring in the background and the lake behind the stage - just perfect for a warm summer night. We missed the opening act but enjoyed every second of Martin and the boys. They sang all of their great songs and we sang along just like we used to (whether it be in one of the Eau Claire bars or at one of their shows). It was a great time, and the band still sounded excellent and together - pretty terrific since Martin claimed he was sitting in Billy's truck just before the show "re-learning" songs he'd written years ago. We had a great night! The only set back is the 10:30 curfew imposed by the Zoo - if allowed to I'm certain the whole crowd would have stayed all night long!

The volume was way too high ,hard on ears, and because of that you couldn't understand the words to the songs, We go to hear the performers not feel the music..... The warm up act was very good she did a good job.

Gear Daddies at the Minnesota Zoo

by 3JACK on 6/21/10Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

Great setting for a concert and the Gear Daddies were on their game save a couple of technical issues. Martin Zellar is hilarious.

    Gear Daddies Brought it Home!

by SummerConcertGoer on 6/21/10Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

The venue was perfect for an outdoor summer night, never a bad seat in the house! The music was flowing and the band entertains the audience through the whole performance. 2 hours of music, I got my $ worth.

The sound was bad, band was disorganized

by mrklown on 6/21/10Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

Overall the show was good, but a series of technical issues and very poor quality sound took away from what could have been an epic show. During louder parts the sound was almost unbearable, it was very distorted. I'm not an audio tech, but it almost seemed like the volume or gain was up way too high. Also, the first time the guitar didn't work right was amusing, but after the 3rd or 4th time it got annoying. I wouldn't have minded so much if it was a $15-20 show, but it was $50 and for that amount I expect a better show.

    Gear is Good!

by musikality on 6/20/10Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

Fantastic performance by Zellar, Dankert, Ciola and Broughten. Unbelievable venue and beautiful weather put this show over the top. Unfortunately, it was nearly unbearably loud, and hope that next time the performance isn't tainted by the volume. GEAR IS GOOD!
