15 second songs
by efty-L on 3/2/20Quite disappointed, their set consisted of very short snips of older dance songs with long builds to stitch them together. I’ve seen better shows at Bill Graham.

Galantis on Tour
Galantis combines the dance-meets-pop genius of two Swedish super-producers: Christian "Bloodshy" Karlsson (a member of Miike Snow who's worked with Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Madonna to name a few) and Linus Eklöw, aka Style of Eye, (cowriter of Icona Pop's "I Love It" with tracks on such respected electronic labels as OWSLA, Fool's Gold and Dirtybird). It should come as no surprise that these two know how to work a crowd. Sure, they're known to fire up the flame cannons, program wild visuals, twist knobs with abandon and bang on a long line of physical drums during their shows. But with Galantis, it's all about the energy and emotion in the music itself as the superduo's studio expertise comes to mega vivid, incredibly loud life. They cycle through upbeat styles, mixing and remixing their melodically blessed hits, but when the drop comes, it's less likely to be a bass blowout than an epic sing-along. Their mastery of mood has been on display since they played their first gig at Coachella in 2014.
Galantis in Concert
Both members of Galantis began making music as children growing up in Sweden. Karlsson's first loves were punk rock and hip-hop, which he discovered via skateboarding, while Eklöw's path began with listening to soul and jazz at home and starting to play drums at age 10. The former joined bands and started producing with an old friend (they'd later cowrite Spears' "Toxic" as Bloodshy & Avant). The latter kicked off his career DJing drum ‘n' bass at school dances, then became a Stockholm underground mainstay. After crossing paths in Karlsson's Robotberget studio, the pair bonded over the idea of fusing EDM's huge energy with pop's emotional pull. They built their own studio on an island in the Baltic Sea and found their approach: rather than start with a beat, they write on guitar or piano, keeping the song spare until they're sure they love it, and only then add the electronic flourishes. The superduo's LPs — 2015's Pharmacy and 2017's The Aviary — are carefully composed, dynamic mixtures of melancholy and mania, house beats and bright vocals, music theory and visceral thump. All of that is contained in Galantis' singles, too, which include collaborations with rock-oriented acts like OneRepublic and Passion Pit.

I've been going to Bill Graham for awhile for major EDM events such as Galantis. This place is a great location for Galantis!
Everything was great ! Just the openers weren’t too good.
Everything was on point, they really know how to keep the crowd entertained!!
Very young crowd, everyone was dressed flashy and fun! The show kept going forever, I only gave it 4 starts because we felt tired and had to leave before ending. Definitely not for the old people haha!
Probably the best concert I have ever been to. Galantis has amazing energy!!! Had such a great time!!!
They provided water. Things moved by quick show was amazing
Galantis live is amazing! They had us all enthralled from the moment they stepped out to the moment they played the trumpet goodbye. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
The opening act right before Galantis was absolutely awful and dragged on for 1.5 hours. The doors opened at 9:30 and Galantis didn’t start until 12:30. This said, Galantis was worth every penny! 9/10 would go back.
Long time fan, real disappointed with the show. Visuals were weak, the music was absolutely BLASTED, their tracks were basically just played off of a streaming service with the addition of heavier drops between to tie them together that were OK at best. I'll leave it at the warm up acts were also 1 star at best. Wouldn't recommend Galantis to anyone after this... and disappointed about that for sure.
Buying tickets was so easy and convenient. Plus the tickets were sent through the phone and I added them right away. I definitely will keep using and recommending Ticketmaster.
Awesome venue and Galantis put on such a great show.
Event was advertised 9:30 and It was midnight and the performers were not on the stage, there were other performers who were playing as an introduction but this was just too late, ~3 hours of waiting.. I left, never doing Galantis again.
The drinks were expensive and galantis kinda played the same beat the whole time, I’ve liked their sets better elsewhere. I do love that there’s ice cold free water bottles
The best Talking Stick Resort pool party I have ever been to! Galantis is amazing and can't wait to see them again!
They played a strong majority of their top songs throughout the set as well as mixing in popular ones that weren't theirs. They had fantastic visuals and energy. Overall, it was a fantastic time!
Not only does Galantis do a great mix of their feel-good songs with some parts of other well known songs, but you can tell these guys really enjoy what they do. Between playing all their percussion instruments, they'll dance on stage and act as their own hypeman! I've slept in my car just to see these guys before, and it's always worth it to see them live!
He had so much energy and I love the smoke effects. It was definitely worth the wait. His opening act was amazing and entertaining. Great show. The venue was cool. Very minimal and spacious and no blind spots.
Absolutely amazing. Totally worth every penny. I’ve loved their music for years and finally getting to see them TWICE in one day was mind blowing.
LOVED EVERY SECOND!!!!!!!! Will be back again! Had a blast!!
