About

Galantis is the dance music project of Christian Karlsson (aka Bloodshy). RIAA gold-certified debut album Pharmacy reached No. 1 on the Billboard Dance album chart on the strength of platinum-certified single "Peanut Butter Jelly" and 3x platinum certified smash "Runaway (U & I)" - the latter of which earned a GRAMMY nomination for "Best Dance Recording" - while 2017's sophomore album The Aviary (featuring 2x platinum-certified single "No Money") saw a top 10 debut in 23 countries. The third Galantis album, 2020's Church, featured the chart-topping gold-certified single "Faith" with country music icon Dolly Parton featuring Mr. Probz, which saw a #1 debut on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Chart before quickly reaching #1 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart where it remained for 5 weeks. Meanwhile, gold-certified collaborative single "Heartbreak Anthem" with David Guetta & Little Mix proved a global sensation, spending 10 weeks on the Billboard Global 200 chart and 13 consecutive weeks in the top 10 on the UK Official Chart. Latest album, Rx, is Karlsson's most deeply personal creation to date - featuring pop banger "Lighter" with Guetta and 5 Seconds of Summer which landed No.1 on the US Dance Radio chart. Galantis has received over 7.3 billion cumulative worldwide streams and over 1.9 billion video views to date.

Karlsson has been at the helm of Galantis since 2009 before officially debuting the project at 2014's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. His career has spanned across the musical genres of punk-rock, hip-hop and pop - including work as one half of acclaimed production duo Bloodshy & Avant and one third of indie pop band Miike Snow. Karlsson's songwriting/production credits have included the likes of Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry and extensive work with Britney Spears (including "Toxic" which earned a GRAMMY for "Best Dance Recording" and her widely acclaimed 2007 album Blackout). As Galantis, he has crafted remixes for the likes of Coldplay, Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith & more. Declared "pop's mastermind producer" by UPROXX, "eternally effervescent" by Billboard and "one of the most influential and untamed voices in modern music" by GRAMMY.com, the Swedish-born artist continues to evolve and push the boundaries of songwriting within the world of dance music and beyond.

  • Great show, Terrible Crowd

    by J12 on 4/15/19Franklin Music Hall - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

Galantis was unreal lots of energy and very fun. With that said I'm only in college but somehow the 3-5 year difference between high school kids and I is insane. venue was full of extremely rude, annoying and disrespectful kids.

  • Too short

by MW on 4/15/19Franklin Music Hall - PhiladelphiaRating: 3 out of 5

Great set, but it was too short. Only 1 1/2 hrs. What a waste. Said it started at 8:30, Didn’t actually start until 10:30pm and ended at midnight. A bit disappointed.

  • Great Concert if You Make It In

by Ohio on 1/4/19Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

I understand that a New Years Eve concert in a large city with a big name like Galantis performing would bring in a lot of people. However, I was not prepared to wait outside in 30 degree weather for over an hour. We showed up an hour after the concert even started and where I appreciate the care put forth towards good security, I was not happy about the long wait, cramped space, and poor warning.

  • Amazing But Frustrating

by No on 1/4/19Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

As we first arrived the line was very small and there was only 5 of us. We got in line and one friend was not allowed to enter due to not having a physical ID on her due to leaving it accidentally at home(Hour and a half away). With this becoming a major problem, we couldn’t leave her so we all decided to take our losses and head home. Dropped off three of our friends and decided to go back with just myself and another friend. We parked at the same lot and got there just as the opening act ended, we walked up to the line and realized it was wrapped around 2 buildings and down to the next street. We hoped the line would move quickly (it didn’t) due to it being in the low thirty’s and high twenty’s that night. We waited 45 minutes to get to the security check which was only 6 scanners plus pat down right at the front door. Now with over several hundred people waiting in this line, you think they could’ve thought of the people in someway and their well being? Put the security check down the hall or something!?! You have all of that room inside and didn’t use it, instead people suffered outside and almost froze to death. Yes I marked this 4 stars but that’s just because we made it in for all of Galantis and was completely mind blown. Thank you for your time and to whoever takes the time to read this.

  • Best start to a year my whole life

    by j. n. on 1/3/19Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

It was absolutely amazing and so blissful to be there during the new years countdown

  • Waste of a New Years Show

    by R.D. on 1/3/19Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 2 out of 5

seemed like a show that was put on just to get money off New Years. The sound quality was horrible at the Aragon ballroom. Also the ball drop happened and the music cut out??? And after that the lights and music were totally off. Really disappointing, galantis was supposed to be great, kind of a sucky show that was put on.

  • Nice

  • the show was great venue was alright

by joe on 1/3/19Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

I’ve been to the Aargan ballrooms few times before but never experienced such a long line. Galantis was starting at 11:30 so we got there a little before 10 to see some of the opener. We thouht. We didn’t get inside until 11:40. Inside, security was not efficient at all which was annoying, especially when you pay $100+ for a concert ticket. The show was a lot of fun though. Galantis has cool graphics.

  • Mind blown

  • Worth the Wait

by makemefeel on 1/3/19Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Long lines were pretty outrageous. Took about 40 minutes to get in and missed the beginning of the set. Also was bummed it was over so early - only really got to see about an hour of a show (from just before midnight to 1 am). That being said, Galantis was worth the wait & absolutely amazing for the hour I was there. Great way to ring in the new year.

  • Galantis

    by A. P. on 1/2/19Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

it was a super fun and great experience! I loved all the confetti they threw it made everything 10x more beautiful. my only problem was that they had advertised that it was only going to be one opener. waiting 2 and 1/2 hours, standing!!, was very frustrating and made me less excited to see Galantis. Next time, have one opener like it was advertised or make sure to tell people there are 2 openers

  • GALANTIS IS AMAZING

by Aly928 on 5/17/18The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 4 out of 5

This show was so much fun! The opening djs could have had a little more energy, but Galantis blew my mind. They were great. It was so cool to see them both playing drums and just to connected with their music and the audience. LOVED their set

  • Great time

by Aly928 on 5/17/18The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Had a great time at the pool party. The supporting DJ’s did a nice job leading up to Galantis. And my goodness, I LOVED Galantis’s set, so much fun. I want to go back again(:

The energy and love they put into their music is clearly noticeable. I will never forget this show. I was right up front. :) They played drums and instruments and were really active with the audience. Xoxoxo GALANTIS

  • Disappointing

    by gm383 on 11/20/17Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 2 out of 5

I love Galantis’ sound on their albums. However; their live show was nothing like that. All they played was generic big room EDM. I didn’t even stay for their whole set. If you want to dance, this show isn’t for you. If you want to jump around on molly, go ahead.

  • Galantis is mind-blowing

by Sylvia112 on 10/11/17House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing. Great lights & effects, plus Galantis is so high energy and gets everyone pumped. They played an amazing mix of songs, lots of hits!

  • 3...2...1... jump

    by TheIce3399 on 10/11/17Electric Factory - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Galantis brought it. They played everything. Very fun concert, I danced the whole time they were on. Please get better opener djs if they aren’t starting until 11:15 pm. No one even danced during the openers because they were that bad, by the time Galantis came on the crowd was tired and bored.
