    Gaither Homecoming Celebration

by sunshine860 on 12/4/09The Arena At Gwinnett Center - Atlanta

A comment that I forgot to make in my original review. Again I thought the music was fantastic, but I did notice that the show was not very organized and sometimes it showed with the organization within the groups. Bill was constantly waving performers to come onto the stage which indicated to me that there was no plan as to who was to do what when. Very loose, but maybe that is the way Bill wanted it. I have been to several of their concerts in the past, but I have never noticed the disorganization which seemed to be present last night; however, I will go again.

It is always good to hear songs about Jesus. Good harmoney musis, good uplifting words in the songs. Wonderful audience in one accord. You just feel good in that presence.

    Marvelous!

by Ralar on 12/4/09The Arena At Gwinnett Center - Atlanta

This was a wonderful experience for my mom, my friend, and I. We enjoyed the show to the fullest. Larnelle Harris and David Phelps were phenomenal. I really felt going back to the time where the people heard the news about the coming of the Messiah. I enjoyed the band, the music, the choreography. Can't forget about hilarious Mark Lowry. What a wonderful night it was, indeed.

It was the most touching and wonderful show I have seen in a long time... There wasn't an artist there that wasn't great..... Of course the Gaither Band was awesome as always, The Easters are just unbelievable and my friend that went with me said that David Phelps was the male version of Celine Deon...... Can't say enough about the show... A must see for everybody!!!

This program was filled with great music, Good clean humor, and fantastic theme throughout. The musician and vocalist were exceptional and better than what is seen on regular television. God was uplifted in all that was done. Jerry (rxbagman)

    Gaither Homecoming Celebration

Fair seats even though on the ground floor. Music was awesome. Sound was a notch too loud. Would recommend this concert to anyone who likes gospel music. Not enough Gaither Vocal Band selections.

    Great night out

by AuntJo2 on 12/4/09The Arena At Gwinnett Center - Atlanta

The singing was great and there was enough comedy & laughter thrown in to keep it balanced and moving along. Very enjoyable! One complaint, geared at the location, not the performance, the floor seats were so close together you had to sit with your elbows and shoulders squeezed in to make room. Needs better spacing.

    Intimate Concert - Powerful Impact

by DeanStar on 12/4/09The Arena At Gwinnett Center - Atlanta

Bill Gaither has been doing this a long time and his comfort level is clear. The Gwinnett Arena is a great setting for what feels like a family concert or small church program. Yet, the down home friendliness and coziness belies a powerful delivery of the Christmas message. The Smiths' lyrical melodies, the Isaacs' tight acapella harmonies, and Larnelle Harris' engaging enthusiasm combined with Michael English and David Phelps' ongoing duel to deliver the most powerful vocal dynamics while communicating the lifechanging message of Jesus Christ left this listener alternately chuckling with delight at the display of such remarkable talents and overwhelmed by the spiritual truths' impact on my heart and life. You may not be able to catch them this Christmas but make a point of getting a ticket early for next year's celebration!
