G-EAZY IN CONCERT:

One of the hottest up-and-comers in the hip hop game, G-Eazy makes sure his packed live shows are wild nights that fans will love bragging about to their friends. The minute he steps on stage, the hip hop heartthrob radiates an effortlessly cool vibe and a refreshing sense of humility. His confidence, talent, and hit-filled catalog -- which has earned him comparisons to French Montana and T. Mills -- instantly captivate ticket buyers' hearts and ears. Slower songs like "Plastic Dreams" get kicked up a notch in concert, and G-Eazy and his backing band -- which typically includes a guitarist/programmer and a drummer -- always make sure the crowd is thoroughly amped. As he tears into a diverse setlist that includes party starters like "Loaded" and "Lotta That", G-Eazy never fails to take audiences along for a truly thrilling ride.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Rapper, singer, and producer G-Eazy, a.k.a. Gerald Earl Gillum, was born and raised in Oakland, CA. While studying music and business at Loyola University in New Orleans, he started producing singles and sharing them on his Myspace page, racking up hundreds of thousands of plays on early songs like "Candy Girl" and "Waspy". In 2007 he released his first mixtape, Sikkis On The Planet, which he promoted DIY-style by designing his own album art and selling tapes out of his backpack. Two years and dozens of Myspace songs later, he was nominated for an MTVU Award for Best Music on Campus and won the NAACP Best Music on Campus Woodie award. After earning a degree in Music Industry Studies in 2011, he scored an opening slot on Drake's tour and joined rapper Shwayze on a nationwide tour. He also released the mixtape Endless Summer, which included one of his biggest hits, an updated version of the 1961 No. 1 hit "Runaround Sue" by Dio Dimucci. He continued to make waves on the live circuit in 2012-13 with a co-headlining tour alongside Hoodie Allen, a string of dates on Warped Tour, and an opening slot on 2Chainz and Lil Wayne's America's Most Wanted tour. 2014 was G-Eazy's most eventful year to date: he signed a major label deal with RCA Records and released his debut album These Things Happened, which topped Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop and Top Rap Albums Charts. Dubbed by MTV as one of their "artists to watch", G-Eazy hit the road at the end of 2014 with a North American tour, bringing his energetic performances to hoards of party-hungry fans.

    Take Me Back

by Anonymous on 11/6/14The Ritz Ybor - Tampa

AWESOME concert man. G eazy is a true performer, be out on the look for him. The one and only thing I didn't like about this concert was that he let his openers go on way too long. It took him about two afters after the show started for him to get on stage. Other than that, really I would no doubt go back.

G Eazy is my favorite rapper

by Willwilliamson on 9/18/14Masqurade - Atlanta

When I say, G Eazy is my favorite rapper, just know I mean it. Sure G gets the girls and now the cash and the parties. But from what he raps about it seems like the come up is his favorite part. G talks about never giving up and being real to yourself and don't let haters fuck you. The hype he has at the venue are unreal. He is the illest.

    G-Eazy is my favorite rapper

by ashdabash on 4/26/14Masquerade - Atlanta

I've been to more concerts than I can count, and this one was hands down the best. G-Eazy is the most amazing performer and has so much talent. He brought along a number of friends to open for him, all of which got us super pumped for G. Whether he was playing old stuff from The Outsider, or newer stuff from his soon-to-be album These Things Happen, G-Eazy never failed to put his heart and soul into each and every song. He plays for smaller crowds than the big name artists making it really easy for him to connect with the audience. I love you, G!!! Your Atlanta girls are waiting for you to visit again soon.

G-eazy was real....atleast when he finally came on

by Seabassss on 4/8/14Masquerade - Atlanta

The performances themselves were amazing but they had a guest "Atlanta legend" Dj on for way too long. I really didn't like the venue...no where to sit and they straight up robbed you at the concessions. It took G-eazy about 3-4hrs to come on and by that time my back and feet were dead. Even with all that, G-eazy was amazing and really game a great show.

G EAZY IS MY FAVEORITE RAPPER

by moemeyerholt on 4/7/14Masquerade - Atlanta

Concert was so good, he's so talented. His performance was awesome, he interacted with the crowd and he was just really awesome. I was kind of annoyed that he went on so late, but when he finally came out he did such a good job that I honestly didn't even mind. He played the perfect list of songs, a lot of old ones and almost all the new ones. Which was awesome because everyone was into it and singing along. G eazy has been my favorite for three years, so maybe I'm a little biased but I seriously thought this was one of the best concerts I've been too.

    G-Eazy was amazing.

by Anonymous on 4/6/14State Theatre - St Petersburg

Other than the fact that the venue was slightly too small to accommodate all of his fans, it was still an amazing concert, I'll definitely be going to see him the next time he comes to FL.

    G-Eazy- I can die happy.

by Emilykate12345 on 4/2/14A and R Music Bar - Columbus

The venue is small but intimate. The amount of high schoolers was annoying because they were acting immature and don't know how to act in a bar or concert like that. I was getting pushed around and having drinks spilt on me. The show was awesome though. The openers were great and entertaining, the djs were great and just as entertaining. Kurt Rockmore was my favorite opener. G-Eazy put on a perfect show. The best I have been to. You could see him no matter where you stood or where he was on stage. The support beams for the bar were kind of in the way but not terribly. The sound and lighting was great and the people that worked the show and bar were great. The security did there best to keep things under control. Over all once I got over the naive high schoolers I had a blast and enjoyed myself and the concert. Can't wait to see G-Eazy again and would definitely visit the A & R music bar again.

    These Things Happen Was Ridiculous!

by Zach1010101 on 4/2/14A and R Music Bar - Columbus

This is the first time I've been to a g eazy concert and he did not dissapoint. The opening acts got the crowd excited and did a lot better job getting the crowd hype than actually rapping. However, g eazy was even better in concert rapping and performing! He made sure to play some of his new stuff before the album drops, AND played some of his dope old og stuff.

by CrystalAnn123 on 3/25/14Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Great fun and energetic. The crowd was all about the same age which made it safe. Smaller venue made for a great atmosphere! So close to the stage!

    G-Eazy was Breathtaking

by AidenDJ on 2/27/14Marquee Theater - Tempe

G-Eazy was absolutely amazing. The best hip-hop artist I have ever seen live. The live drummer was incredibly talented as was the dj who also sang live his part in "tumblr girls". The stage was a clean but dope set up and G-Eazy rapped everything. No background track or anything. If you do not go to this show you are missing out on something really awesome.

    Dope!

by THE714 on 9/12/13The Observatory - Santa Ana

A truly unforgettable night with an awesome crowd, and just great vibes all around! Like G says in his song Endless Summer, "...If you been to a show you know that I could move a crowd.." G does not disappoint! The opening acts were great, especially KYLE who really got the crowd pumped up and ready for G-Eazy. Once G came on stage it was pure madness! Drummer was killing it! Everyone was instantly fired up and ready to vibe to his songs, a memorable night for all that were there. The only complaint/Downside I have was of the venue, they should install some more A/C systems in there or something, because it got HOT AS HELL in there!! haha. Totally looking forward to catching another show when G is in town!

    G Eazy is very talented

by eazy421 on 4/4/13Green Room - Ft. Lauderdale

Took forever for G Eazy to finally take the stage, and unfortunately the concert ended early for some reason...something to do with a medical emergency for one of the people attending the show... BUT, that's the only reason why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. G Eazy is so super talented. He has such a great mix of music genres that really almost everyone can appreciate his music. Plus he's fun and interacts with the crowd well! And on top of that, he is great eye candy :)
