FUTURE IN CONCERT:
It only makes sense that Atlanta rapper Future has earned a place at the genre's vanguard with his forward-looking sound. In just a few short years, his stylish, minimal blend of rap and R&B have made him one of the genre's brightest rising stars, resulting in collaborations with everyone from Lil Wayne to Ciara. Future backed up his swag with a series of confident performances in 2013, building anticipation among fans for his 2014 tour in support of sophomore album Honest.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Raised in Atlanta, Future was encouraged to pursue rapping from an early age by his cousin Rico Wade, producer of musical collective the Dungeon Family. After releasing several mixtapes between 2010-2011, he signed to Epic Records, making his album debut in 2012 with Pluto. The album landed an impressive five singles on the Billboard Hot 100, earning him a spot on XXL Magazine's coveted Freshmen list of artists to watch and resulting in a laundry list of collaborations with artists ranging from Rick Ross and Justin Bieber. In 2014, Future embarked on the Honest Tour, in support of his highly anticipated sophomore album.

I went to see Jhene Aiko most because I love her music. She was excellent but I thought she could have been on longer if the show would have started on time.

The opening act was amazing and when future finally stepped out I was completely takin back by his essence and the enviroment of the concert. Columbus really out did themselves!!!!

We arrived early and had great spots. I was impressed with Future's performance and his interaction with the audience. I would love to see him in concert again!

by Anonymous on 9/25/12Rapides Coliseum - AlexandriaI traveled 4 hours to go and see Future and the performance and experience was horrible. Kevin Gates was the opening performed for Future. He stayed on stage for about 45 minutes and rocked out better than Future did! When Future performed, he was only out there for about 20 min, didn't perform any full songs and acted like he wasn't into the performance, it was a bad experience. It was like he didn't even want to be there. I would have expected something like this if he was performing at a club or something but not at a coliseum. I love Futures music but if that's how he performs for concerts then I would not recommend for anyone to go and see him.
