    A disappointment

by MarinaJ on 1/11/15Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

First - the actor worked so hard! It was exhausting watching him. For that reason, I really wanted to like the play. Unfortunately, it simply wasn't funny. I even wanted to leave after about 20 minutes, but of course I didn't. I equate this play to watching an employee be extremely busy, miserable, frazzled for 90 minutes - with no humor. I wish for the actor, the play was written better. It simply was boring. When walking out, the general consensus among theater goers was, "It wasn't what I thought it would be." I'll learn to research plays a bit better before going to Broward Center. I actually wanted my money back when we left!

    Truly Amazing!

by mcflyer54 on 11/27/13Studio Two Riffe Center - Columbus

It would be nearly impossible for me to express my pleasure in having been fortunate enough to see this production. How one actor can carry an entire show, a show that requires a tremendous amount of dialog, characterizations, accents, and emotion I haven't a clue. This show was a non-stop ride for both the audience and the actor on stage. The standing ovation was, without a doubt, much deserved.

    High Energy Fun

The premise of the play gets a bit tedious after awhile, but the energy of the actor made it work. Overall enjoyable experience.

    Jeff Horst was phenomenal

by OHvacationgal on 11/19/13Studio Two Riffe Center - Columbus

...that said, the play did get a little long in the tooth. Probably could have cut 10-20 minutes from the frenetics and still have a thoroughly enjoyable evening!

    Prepare to be amazed.

by seerobynrun on 11/19/13Studio Two Riffe Center - Columbus

Jeff Horst is undeniably talented, energetic, and engaging. Playing the eager-to-please Sam (and all 36 other characters), he proves again and again just how lucky we are to have him in the Columbus theatre community.

    Fully committed was too much

by Rebeckle on 11/19/13Studio Two Riffe Center - Columbus

The actor did a fabulous job. Can't imagine having to keep all those characters and their voices clear. The play itself was almost annoying. Too busy, too mean, too long, too much. I always enjoy CATCO. This was my least favorite. Parts were enjoyable and even funny but it just wasn't my kind of show. I am sure other people would like it.

We thoroughly enjoyed "Fully Committed". Fast-paced ride through a variety of emotions - funny, serious, caring, sad, and joy. Horst delivers.

    Fully Committed was fantastic!

A one man play with dozens of distinct characters. You got to know each person and their chacteristics, and grew to love each in their own way. One man's day of hell at his thankless job. Loved Sam's dad.

This is the first time I have been disappointed in a CATCO production, not in the quality of the presentation, but in the choice of material. The story line was lacking in any real purpose. After about 5 minutes of constant phone ringing and jumping around, the rest of the time was very nerve racking. I guess that was the point, but to me it wasn't fun theater. The actor did a great job of playing all the parts and changing roles - kudos to him!

    Fireball of Fully Committed

by Jollity on 11/11/13Studio Two Riffe Center - Columbus

Sam (Jeff Horst) is a one-man show of incredible energy and talent. The struggling actor is insanely juggling the status-seeking seating needs of high maintenance customers, a self-important chef, and a selfish co-worker while working in New York's ritziest restaurant. He is a master of characterizations and dialects.

    An amazing performance!

by Smitty615 on 11/9/13Studio Two Riffe Center - Columbus

I really enoyed this play and kept marvelling at how Jeff Horst was able to keep all those characters straight. I cannot imagine how he did that. I also enjoyed the actual story, especially the back story of Sam's life as it played underneath te top story of the relationships with the restaurant staff. Jeff Horst successfully managed to let us see Sam's personality and his feelings so that we could relate to him as a person. A totally delightful experience in the theater.

I didn't know what to expect. Had not seen a one-man show before. This performance was amazing. I felt all the characters were real and in front of me. Jeff Horst did an amazing job. Treat yourself to this wonderful and funny show.
