DP Ballpark is so nice. Easy to park and walk around. We encountered several employes and they were all very nice and helpful. The new bar, Blue Moose was great.
As always, GREAT TIME at the Roughriders game. Will be back with the kiddos!!!!! The players are so interactive and responsive to the fans.
What an awesome stadium! I've never been to a minor league baseball game filled with so many people. The architecture of the stadium was amazing! Very friendly stadium staff, great for families and kids.
The ballpark was packed full of kids of all ages, don't think we have been there when it was fuller. lots of action in the game and among the people getting piles of food, some had odviously been there before because they brought bags to carry everything back to their seats and spread it among the kids . Everyone was excited to see Hamilton as you saw lots of shirts, etc with his name . it was beautiful evening weatherwise, especially since we haven't had many of those lately.
the parking is easy, the seats are all good, and the ballpark food was good...i have to say this was a fun night out to see some future Ranger baseballers! have nothing bad to say about this experience...i will definitely go to another game when i am in the area would be a great place to take kids and let them experience some baseball without breaking the bank. I am short and had selected seats in row 13 behind homeplate and was delighted to find that there was a rail and opening so i had a great sight line without having to look over someone!
Great place to take the family to watch a little baseball, food was pretty good and you don't have to walk far to get it. There is no bad seat in the stadium. The crowd interaction through the whole game is amazing!!
This is a gorgeous park. The architecture is unique. I have been to over 50 minor league parks and have never seen one with trees inside the plaza area. The food was good and the beer selection was excellent. They have a bar down the third base line that remains open after the game. in addition to the usual mascots, they had a Teddy Roosevelt impersonator to entertain the crowd. Overall, this is one of the nicest ballparks (major or minor leagues) that I have been to.
My friend was in town and she LOVES baseball. We had a blast watching this game with 4 extra innings as a bonus. The stadium is so beautiful, the food options plentiful and convenient to get in and out of.
It is always an enjoyable experience at Dr Pepper Ballpark! We lost, but what can you do?
We had a great time....but disappointed, there were no fireworks after the game, just kids running.
We had 4 tickets for the RoughRiders game on Saturday, April 25. Game time was 7:05 and we arrived at the ballpark at 6:00 and a game was already in progress in the 2nd inning. We were told by the people in front of us that they would play two games - one was to make up the rained out game from the day before. There was someone sitting in one of our seats and she refused to move. We never knew which game she was there to see because we were not informed prior to the game that there was any kind of schedule change. We assume she was allowed into the park early and had that seat for the previous day's game, but in any case, we had to move in order to sit together. Then the ticket holders for the seats that we moved to showed up and at that point we left. Horrible experience and not likely to attend another RoughRiders game.
So much fun!! Even though we lost, it was a fun evening! The venue is perfect and Grubes is always entertaining! Highly recommend going to a game - especially on a Thursday! :)
Rough rider games are fun and cheap to attend, fun to go even though they lost
They have always done a nice job in Frisco with the fan experience. The new ownership has really freshened things up though! The new jumbotron is great. They rebranded the team around Teddy Roosevelt's Roughriders which was really cool. The team shop is more prominent has about five times as much stuff. And the food is really creative. Their own food is better-great bbq for example. In addition, a bunch of popular Dallas area food trucks now pull into an area on the third base side. It was really a great experience and may kids loved the Friday fireworks!
It's just a great place to relax. Pick your drink, grab a snack, ease into your seat and exhale! This place exists for families and baseball.
This is the best entertainment buy in the DFW area unless you just don't like to watch baseball
Being able to watch the game from right on the side of the field is great. Got a couple of foul balls hit this way, but none that were catch able. I did get a game ball the got away after pitching practice. Had a great time with my wife.
It was an exciting game, especially the 9th inning. Had a great time. I love Dr. Pepper Field as a venue. Parking is easy and a brief walk to the ballpark. I live in Sherman, TX approximately 40 minutes from Frisco. Attending a Rough Rider game is a nice get-a-way.
My first visit to see the RoughRiders, and probably my last. I was disappointed the game was not announced. The food was terrible - especially the hot dogs - and very expensive for a minor league game. The attendants at the private areas were very rude. I was trying to see what sodas were being served, and the attendant told me to go to a "public area".
