Fred Hersch Trio Tickets

One of the top performances I’ve heard from Fred and Trio.

It is always a wonderful experience to see Fred Hersch and his trio perform. Fred is a true musical treasure. The performance was enhanced by the remarkable venue at Jimmy’s Jazz Club, in a 1905 former YMCA building that has been renovated in a way that makes the building itself worth visiting! The performance space is the 3rd floor former YMCA basketball court with a balcony and spectacular bars and sitting rooms at both sides. The acoustics were exceptional. This is the best Jazz venue I have ever been to. We will be checking the schedule for upcoming shows and plan on returning again, traveling from Keene to Portsmouth.

Brilliant performance, great venue. Hersch is our favorite panist, and we have seen him often in a variety of places. It was gret to hear him sgain in this place.

First of all, the venue is INCREDIBLE. The service was even better! The quality of the music was top notch. The only thing that seems a little odd is the inability to hold a low volume conversation with your other friends at the table. I get it. These are Grammy winning artists who deserve the respect of the full attention of the crowd. Ok, then maybe a different seating layout? In the end, we watched about 75% of the show from our table (which did not have a stage view) then moved into the closed door bar area for the last quarter so we could catch up with our friends. All in all, it was superb!

The Fred Hersh Trio show was excellent! What a wonderful variety of jazz! Especially loved Wichita Lineman!
