    Meh

by Kevin on 10/28/19WAMU Theater - Seattle

Usc seems to be slipping pretty bad, it'll be hard to support them if they're putting on meh shows and not paying their workers/contractors for months aftet an event

    Underwheming for the price

    by H. on 10/28/19WAMU Theater - Seattle

So I've been to a lot of big events and festivals including Tomorrowland. I was a little surprised at the amount of security, cops, and just enforcement in general. Because of this it really made me question the safety of the event as well as how well it has been managed. Directions to rides or different rooms were not anywhere no signs or anything so that was confusing, bathroom doors or locked open, we had to take her shoes off outside and stand on wet cement overall it was kind of unpleasant and killed the vibe. And at the end of the day they still had several incidents throughout the show. I would save your money and go to something better

    Not pleased

by Not for those with Anxiety on 10/28/19WAMU Theater - Seattle

This would be our second time my husband and i have went. Our first time when it was hosted at the Tacoma Dome. Granted that place was smaller but it would not compared to how bad it got at the WAMU theater. The lines for check in was not organized very well. They ended up seperating the females from the males at the last minute, they had us take off our shoes, which caused the hold up. When you finally got inside the venue, you had to question where you would go from there. I wish there were signs at least pointing to where at least which type of genre of music it would be. For the money we paid for it felt like decor was thrown at the last minute. There were so many people going in opposite directions we felt so unsafe. We walked around for about an hour and it was too much. The amount of people and the fear for our safety was compromised. You had people purposely physically pushing us hoping to instigate an altercation. When we asked one of the volunteers who was selling water where the exit was to leave she just pointed in a direction and we were left to play inspector gadget. When we finally left the staff at least made sure to let us know that we would not be able to have re entry which was totally fine. When we were walking to our car we ran into one of the supervisors from Staff Pros, i never got his name. He ended up stopping to speak to us we voiced that we did not have a great time, if someone with high Anxiety or Claustrophobia would not be able to find the exit if they wanted too. There were just too many people crammed into one place to enjoy a good time in our opinion. The venue should of had more direct directions or signs of exit, of which stage was what.

    Great show, encourage recycling

    by C. S. on 10/28/19WAMU Theater - Seattle

The event was amazing, but at the end there were so many water bottles that were left on the ground. It would be awesome if was recycling was encouraged, especially with consideration of the current plastic pollution issues our oceans are facing because of humans, and because the venue is less than a mile from the water front. The performers were awesome and porter robinson's closing set brought me to transcendental states and tears of healing.

    Wish I could relive!

by esperiah on 11/13/18WaMu Theater - Seattle

My friends had forced me to go and I was really unsure If I would enjoy it or not, but I had a blast!! It was so much fun and everyone is so nice! Having water stations around was super helpful because you are dancing so much that you become dehydrated really quickly. I loved Marshmello and Steve Aoki they played amazing sets. I 100% would go again and I can not wait to go to another!

    Too great

by ZMoneyyy on 11/11/18WaMu Theater - Seattle

Definitely recommend. If you love to dance and Edm. Crowd is great no bad vibes. Only downfall is the stalls are left opened but I know why. Overall best memories I’ll remember.

    Freaknight 2018

    by LunaPC94 on 10/31/18WaMu Theater - Seattle

This was my 5th year in a row going to freaknight. Loved the setup this year. Bass stage was finally perfected. Loud enough, lots of room and sound didn’t bleed out to other stages. Main stage was awesome with lots of space. There were carnival rides, attractions and a silent disco (which was an awesome addition to this year). The house stage was my favorite. That hallways stage can be hard to perfect but usc and wamu definitely did it this year. Thank you for another awesome Halloween festival!

    Music was amazing but...

    by sarabear31 on 10/29/18WaMu Theater - Seattle

They need to stop selling alcohol. There are lots of people who are on some kind of drug and alcohol just makes things worse. Let's be honest. They need something to check if you are on something. Just because they didnt bring it in, doesn't mean they aren't high already. I kept having people stumble into me and think it was my fault and that's not cool.

    Meh.

    by M7865 on 10/29/18WaMu Theater - Seattle

Getting into the venue not only took forever, which was expected, but depending on who's line you went through meant keeping props or not. I was told by a woman I had to throw away my $30 steam punk goggles and when I go inside what do I see? TONS of people wearing the exact ones I had to throw out, some even with spikes on the sides. I was so annoyed. Not consistent and not very kind at all. The tiny amount of bleachers they had set up were full and so my friends and I sat on the floor to catch our breath and stretch and we were told to get up and move to the bleachers but they also stood there towering over us, I assume they were waiting to see if one of us wasn't doing okay so they could take us away. Very unfriendly expressions and just overall tone. I would never pay this much to go to this event again, and I go to most all events around the Seattle area.

    Cool beans

    by Jk456 on 10/29/18WaMu Theater - Seattle

This was my second year in a row attending. Amazing lineup and great as always. Only things to change is organizing the lines for entrance better. Us girls got in pretty quick but the guys in our group had to go in a seperate line and it took them over an hour after us to get in. Rediculous! Also, the people working the security entrance were not nice. So many bag rules and mask rules this year. I get it. We want to be safe but id rather see a metal detector in that case... Drinks always suck here. Lineup, venue, etc were great! Would have been nice to receive an email about times of sets. Totally recommend otherwise!!! These are just little things.

    Freaknight 2018 was extremely underwhelming

by hellaella on 10/29/18WaMu Theater - Seattle

Compared to the past few years and other raves and usc events I’ve attended, freaknight 2018 was pretty disappointing and not worth the money but I was still able to have a good time.

    Why spend more?

by VIPnoMore on 10/29/18WaMu Theater - Seattle

VIP was pointless, even upgrade to have a reserved space and it was pointless. Tried to have a great experience but the team handling the event and organizations involved just didn’t do a great job.
