me and my two nephews went there for the first time. We absolutely loved everything about it. The firework show was great. The food was good. The only thing I wish could change is the parking situation. We waited an hour and 10 minutes to leave lol. So ya. Otherwise we absolutely loved it and can’t wait to see you next year
Fireworks show was not all that great have seen way better the End of the show was the worst I've seen. Traffic control at the end was the worst we had to wait over a half an hour stuck before anyone started moving
The only thing i would say is that the finale was lack luster. Maybe because were used to Cal expo. We thought it lasted a long time which was nice.
The show was great fireworks were spectacular. The downfall was the hassle to get out of the parking lot. West Sacramento PD did a horrible job getting cars out of the lot. We sat for 60 minutes before our car moved.
We really enjoyed the previous the Fourth on the Field with the Sacramento Philharmonic, where the orchestra was on a large, well lit and well amplified stage at the rear of the field where we could see the entertainment from every seat so expected this year to be similar. Some of my party of nine are not able to sit on the grass for hours so we sat in the seats. The band was on a tiny stage facing away from us so we couldn't see them and could barely hear them which was very disappointing. We weren't crazy about standing in long lines to pay for overpriced and distinctly average food truck fare just to pass the time until the fireworks because the band couldn't be enjoyed. I noticed a lot of people came just for the fireworks. It took us 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot after the show which was pretty aggravating but quicker than the previous time when it took nearly 90 minutes! Surely there has to be a better way to organize parking and we could happily have paid extra for the ability to exit quickly when everyone was tired and worrying about work the next day.
I was disappointed in the bad customer service, seat arrangements, and limited park food. The audio was poor on the stadium screen in between shows. The band that was provided wasn't really enjoyable. The only positive outcome was the firework show. This was my second attending the Fourth on the Field event. It will be my last time attending altogether. My daughter and I were very disappointed on how everything wasn't organized.
The music was so low that we could barely hear it. There should have been a list of upcoming events and games. The live band was barely audible and should have been broadcasted on the screen because the band was enclosed on a stage facing the center field. A list of food truck vendors would have been appreciated as well.
$15 for parking...oh, can't bring in purses or bags (even though our bag had our blanket in it) 1 hour of waiting in line for over priced dinner 1 hour of waiting in line for over priced dessert to lead up to... 15 minutes of fireworks with no grand finale...the music kept going but the fireworks stopped. To add insult to injury, we had 1.5 hours of waiting in the parking lot to get out with no traffic control. NOT WORTH IT!
If you plan to attend 4th on the field, don't bother paying for the upper deck 21 plus. The area was empty of people with one bar and no food. Since you have to walk downstairs for food, where there is plenty of seating, save your money. To exit the parking lot after was a nightmare so make sure you've got plenty of supplies and games in your car.. you'll be there for a while. As for the fireworks, they were lovely and it was wonderful seeing families on the lawn.
Great food and drink selection.. plenty room on the field to lay down a blanket. I just wish there would've been more bands or more things to do..just seems like there was a lot of downtime before the fireworks actually started.
It was short lived and they had the lights in the way. To spend that kind of money when We could’ve gone to our local high school here in Woodland and had a better show was kind of a disappointment
It could have been a little organized at the end where the event security staff could have directed traffic vs everyone trying to rush and make exit point congested.
Waited 3 hours for a 10 minute fireworks display with no grand finale. Then trying to get out of the parking lot was a nightmare. We moved 20 feet in an hour and a half. Finally to cops showed up and opened up the other road and we were finally on our way home. Will never do that again.
Event was great, parking situation was a mess. Arrived early and was forced to park at the furthest of-site lot. Parking attendant even said “you show up early and get screwed”. Lots of families showing up early with kids and forced to walk the furthest distance.
My wife and I had an amazing time at 4th on the Field. We went there to relax and watch some fireworks. The food was great and overall the crowd was awesome!
I am VERY disappointed to have spent $100 for a 20minute show. Everything about this event was DISAPPOINTING and I would NEVER pay for a firework show again!
Expected the Sac Philharmonic instead of a "just ok" rock band. Fireworks show was not nearly as good or as long as last year. Probably won't attend again.
