Foundry Tickets

This was a fun show. Fritz Baret, a local musician, opened the show. Fritz plays anelectric guitar, but through the use of electronics (a MiDi Pad?) he loops a drum beat on guitar and then has it play throughout the song. Other electronic keyboard sounds were programmed in. A one-man band, he played for about 35 minutes. Foundry was a huge surprise. They're a hard rock band, but not metal. Their sound reminded me of the bands from the mid 1980s to early 1990s that would be found on radio. The ticket-buying audience was only around 75 people. There were nearly as many staff and security personnel as there were concertgoers. A real shame for a city that often complains about the lack of touring Rock bands coming to town. Following the show the band came out for signatures and photos. I can't believe I forgot to have them sign my ticket.
