You can catch stand-up comedian, writer, and actor, Fortune Feimster, on the radio, on screens both big and small, and touring her stand-up across the nation. Fortune Feimster's first one-hour special, SWEET & SALTY, is currently streaming on Netflix and was nominated for Best Comedy Special for the Critics' Choice Awards. Prior to her one-hour special, Netflix released Feimster's half-hour special in 2018 as part of THE STANDUPS, which received rave reviews. She has done late night TV sets on CONAN and LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS and has another acclaimed half hour special on Comedy Central.
Beginning her career in Los Angeles as a member of the prestigious Groundlings Sunday Company, Fortune Feimster first became known nationally as a writer and panelist on E's hit show CHELSEA LATELY before starring as a series regular on Hulu's THE MINDY PROJECT and NBC's CHAMPIONS. She has gone on to have many guest appearances and recurring roles on TV shows including RU PAUL'S DRAG RACE, DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, DRUNK HISTORY, CLAWS, 2 BROKE GIRLS, WORKAHOLICS, GLEE, IDIOTSITTER, TALES OF THE CITY, THE L WORD: GENERATION Q, LIFE IN PIECES and @MIDNIGHT. On the film side, you can catch Fortune in OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY, SOCIAL ANIMALS, FATHER OF THE YEAR, and YES DAY. You may recognize her voice from TV, in roles including Evelyn on THE SIMPSONS, Brenda on Fox's BLESS THE HARTS, and Ava on Cartoon Network's SUMMER CAMP.
Fortune can currently be heard every morning with Tom Papa on Sirius XM's channel 93 on their show, WHAT A JOKE WITH PAPA AND FORTUNE. She also hosts a weekly podcast with her partner, Jax, called SINCERELY FORTUNE. Feimster frequently recurred on LIGHTS OUT WITH DAVID SPADE on Comedy Central and is currently starring opposite David Spade on the new Netflix series, THE NETFLIX AFTERPARTY. You can catch her playing Pam on NBC's KENAN or Pinky in the recently released BARB AND STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR. Along with co-writing and selling two comedy pilots to ABC, the latter of which is produced by Tina Fey, Fortune co-wrote and is attached to star in two features, BAD COP BAD COP and FIELD TRIP, both of which were acquired by Spielberg's Amblin Pictures.
I looked forward to the show so I bought a ticket on Row B, 5 rows from the stage. I only caught about half the dialogue, and I wear hearing aids! Several of my friends were scattered throughout the theater and said the same things. I’m a huge fan of Fortune Feimster, but left totally disappointed. Boo Johnny Mercer Theater.
Fortune had all new material and showed off her crowd work skills. We were laughing so hard we were in tears!
The venue was great- good parking area. Fortune was hilarious. I enjoyed her show and it was great to meet her.
Fortune Feimster is hilarious! Great show. Took my best friend to celebrate both of us recently turning 50 years old. We laughed so hard, that we had tears in our eyes. Fortune was able to involve the audience, and incorporate the audience members comments into her show with great ease.
She’s great with the audience! Only, the backup comedian wasn’t funny.
I laughed so much, my side hurt. She has such good timing and nails the punchlines. If I were to change anything, I would have liked her yo do more lesbian jokes.
Fortune was great. Her jokes and stories were awesome as always but the best part was the interaction with the crowd and the humor that ensued from the interactions was priceless. The meet and greet was excellent too.
Husband and I really enjoyed the show. It was hilarious and laughed A LOT! Something that we really needed.
She makes you laugh without going too far with her jokes. She had the audience laughing the entire time. Loved it every single minute of it!
There were only speakers in the front so the sound didn’t carry all the way to the back so it was very hard to hear at times
Fortune is a great comedian and has amazing stage presence. Her physical comedy added to the show. Definitely recommend! 10/10
Loved the venue in El paso. easy in and out, not too big as to get lost. It was easy to find parking, and being on a college campus, it was free after a certain time so any perceived issues can easily be forgiven. I mean it was a comedy show, so what else to be on stage other than a microphone, a broken stool, and a red solo cup? Nothing else needs to be there. The In house audio did an adequate job of getting their voice across. The show was awesome--both Chris Franjola and Fortune Feimster are great comedians, with origina content and relatable content. Go if you get a chance.
It was hilarious! I just love her! Opener was funny too!
Fortune was as great as I expected her to be after seeing her comedy special on Netflix. The opening comedian could have been better. I guess he is her friend, but he kind of bombed. I couldn't tell you his name.
Fortune live did not disappoint. We were laughing from start to finish! And as a bonus we got to hear our favorite joke at the end. She was so much fun!
Very funny lady! But no way will I be spending $72 again on a ticket plus insurance plus parking!!! This was a birthday present to myself. That's the only reason I decided to splurge.
I love stand up comedy, have seen hundreds of shows and this was by far one of the funniest shows I’ve ever been too. Start to finish she killed it!!
From biscuits to moms car pitching off a cliff, to singing like a matron to get the star role in the choir, Fortune slayed it. Couldn’t be happier with our tickets that night! And thrilled we were the premier audience.
This was a date night for us and we had the best time! :) Really enjoyed the experience and felt we pretty much laughed the whole time!!
