About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

    Pretty weak

by DirtyWhiteBoy on 8/10/09Celeste Center - Columbus

The show was pretty weak overall. They played most of the songs too slow and it was apparent that the new lead singer (Kelly) is no Lou Gramm (despite his best effort). The show lacked energy and focus--at least 3 times they went off on random improvisation "jam" sessions that were not interesting and detracted from the flow of the show.

    Classic Rock at It's Best

by CoachShade on 8/7/09Celeste Center - Columbus

If you love classic rock, then this was the show for you. Pairing Eddie Money and Foreigner was sheer genius and neither disappointed. This combined with the fact that the Celeste Center at the Ohio State Fair is an intimate setting, all made for one of the best concerts I have ever been had the privilege to attend. Eddie got everyone warmed up nicely with his playlist of hits, including "Take Me Home Tonight", "Two Tickets to Paradise" and "Shakin". The introduction of his daughter as a back-up singer was another highlight and she even got to solo a little. And then out came Foreigner and they simply rocked the house with classics such as "Dirty White Boy", "Cold As Ice", "Urgent", "Jukebox Hero" and "Hot Blooded". Let's not forget that Foreigner also recorded two of the most recognizeable and highy played rock ballards of all time with "I've Been Waiting For A Girl Like You" and "I Want to Know What Love Is", both which got the crowd singing back to the band. It was fantastical. Foreigner's new song, "Too Late" off their new album, "Can't Slow Down", is destined to be a hit. The only thing missing from it all was Lou Graham but Mick Jones has found a capable replacement in Kelly Hansen. Even though Eddie and some of the Foreigner band mates are getting up in years, they still put on an excellent show. More than worth the price of admission. If you have the opportunity to see either Eddie Money or Foreigner, you will not be disappointed.

    Foreigner rocked!!!

    by AliceJad3 on 8/7/09Celeste Center - Columbus

The show was amazing. The old rockers still have it, in fact I think they got better with age! They still looked like hot rockers and played flawlessly. The drummer had an unforgettable solo and the lead guitarist blew me away! The singer was dead on every note and had a great stage presence, not to mention his tight white pants and silk shirt unbuttoned all the way to his stomach!

Eddie Money / Foreigner - What a show!

by mbburk on 8/7/09Celeste Center - Columbus

Eddie Money opened with a nice show. He played a good set and connected well with the audience. His daughter brought some excitement to the show as well. I want to go back has been running in my head for days now. When Foreigner hit the stage it was electric. They got a state fair crowd on their feet (not so easy to do) virtually from start to finish. They were right on - even better then my cd's. The fact that they were not the original members was not noticable - in fact I think they may even be better then the original. If I had the chance to see them again, it would be a no-brainer. They were great!

    Foreigner is Back!

by SoniS on 8/7/09Celeste Center - Columbus

Amazing way to start their US Tour.. this concert was great! The vocals, guitaring and drumming was all phenomenal . They sounded and played even better than the recordings. Mick has really organized the new blood (Hansen sounds as good as Gramm) and infused a new life into the group. Do not miss any opportunity to the see them live again and relive the memories....

    EDDIE WAS AWESOME!

    by RASCAL513 on 8/6/09Celeste Center - Columbus

The Money Man was terrific. I loved every minute of his show. Foreigner, well, they were forgettable. I would have enjoyed their CDs more than their live performance. I do not like Kelly Hansen! Good voice, lousy rapport with the audience.

    Foreigner: Best concert ever attended!!!

by AnneJosette on 8/6/09Celeste Center - Columbus

Eddie Money was witty and warm to the audience. It was almost like a stand up routine. He even let his daughter Jessie Money sing two songs. She was amazing and totally awesome. I would go to her concert any day. Then Foreigner came on and from the first note, I knew the concert was going to be phenomenal. The lights, sound, and music were awesome. It was great to hear all the classics and they were really friendly and energetic. This concert surpassed all others I have been to. For once, it seemed the musicians actually wanted to be there and enjoyed entertaining their audience. I loved it! I would most definitely see Foreigner again!

Best Show I've Seen In Long Time!

by Tski on 8/6/09Celeste Center - Columbus

What can you say about classic rock at its best? A step back in time as the group masterfully played each song with committed passion of much younger men. Maybe like fine wine, rockers age beautifully (Eddie Money looked like he could have used some time at the gym). Guitar riffs effortless from Mick Jones. Thomas Gimbel created more magic with the sax. Delivered all the great classic songs that made the original team great. Kelly Hansen replicated the emotion of each song without too much push- gotta love reverb. Didnt want this show to end!
