    Clever and talented

by Broadway Baby on 2/3/24Aventura Arts & Cultural Center - Aventura

We loved the show. The performers are so talented and the lyrics were so clever. Some in our group, had trouble deciphering all the words- but even they enjoyed the show. The piano player was amazing, a joy to listen to all on her own.

    Talent in all directions!

by Linda on 2/3/24Aventura Arts & Cultural Center - Aventura

Truly a super talented cast and pianist! Even if you haven’t seen all the musicals presented, enough material to truly enjoy the production.

    It was okay!

by Richard on 2/2/24Aventura Arts & Cultural Center - Aventura

The four actors covered a good deal of material! It just started off wrong. It was announced that the lead dancer in the first segment on "Chicago"was Bebe Neuwirth, star of the original cast. She was star of the revival when it opened. Chita Rivera and Gwen Verdon were the stars of the original cast of "Chicago". The actress had on a Chita style black wig. Bebe's hair is brown! Since Chita had died that day, it just did not seem the best way to handle it. I was surprised and disappointed that a show all about Broadway did not ask for a moment of silence for Chita Rivera, a Broadway icon. This could have been done when the manager spoke or at the end of the show. While spoofs were done of both living and dead actors, no mention was made of Chita though a wig representing her hair was there! Over the years, I have seen somewhat better versions of "Forbidden Broadway"in NYC and Boston.

    Fun, fun, fun

by Forbidden Broadway on 1/31/24Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall - Milwaukee

So much fun. If you are a musical theater fan with a great sense of humor, this is a show for you. I loved it. And I loved that there were tributes to some of the greats in musical theater history as well as contemporary references. Performers were amazing vocally, comedic timing, and physical comedy. Plus, they sing lots of fast lyrics that are NOT the correct lyrics. Truly impressive and amazing. Can't say enough. Loved it!!!

Wish they would’ve used their normal voices

by Alec on 1/30/24Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall - Milwaukee

The show was entertaining. However, they sang with affectation, and you couldn’t understand the lyrics. I wasn’t the only one who complained about this. The two male singers were better than the two female singers. If they had just used their normal singing voices, instead of accents, we could have understood the lyrics.
