The actual Fortnite staff were Great!

by Jameson on 6/19/19The Forum - Inglewood

My son and I had a lot of fun at the event. The energy from the Fortnite staff was really high and friendly. There were some issues with shading, mainly that there wasn't enough of it, but the free Fortinite sunscreen helped to make up for it. The actual ProAm was a lot of fun to watch, we had clear unobstructed seats that were cool and comfy. Minor issues trying to leave our seat as it caused the entire row to have to get up but there's nothing that could be done about that. The biggest issue I had was with Security at the venue. I was told I MUST empty my water bottle, filled with water, before entering. I complied thinking there would be water fountains I could use. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I could find a single one and I didn't want to pay $5.50 for a Gatorade. If the venue is outdoors without shading please don't make us dump out our water bottles. That's an awful move. The second was a lack of communication on the timeline. My wife was blocked from re-entering to redeem her prize at 5:30 pm as the "area had closed" which wasn't labeled or displayed anywhere. Why would you place the redemption area in the same spot your closing before the event ends? Why not put the redemption area near the exit, separate from the are you needed to break down? If you did that it would allow you to close areas off in sections without customers feeling penalized for watching the ProAm. I know it sounds like complaining but I really did have a great time. The games were really fun, the staff was friendly and the event treats, like ice cream and slurp juice, were all reasonably priced and very tasty (but I can't hydrate my family on sugar). There was also more swag and free pickaxes then we could carry.

The kid and adult in me have different opinions

    by Z. on 6/19/19The Forum - Inglewood

While the mini games were fun, and the show was good, there is still room for improvement. Mis-communication on stamps, long lines (granted fast moving), last minute descisions on backpacks, and line management did take away from some of the fun. Thankfully, there was food & drinks. Really, really expensive food and drinks. REALLY expensive. Overall not bad, but plenty of room for improvement.

    Boooo!

    by E. I. on 6/19/19The Forum - Inglewood

Bought tickets to go with my 9 y/o son, his friend, and friend’s dad. Noticed a week beforehand that Epic was limiting the event to ages 13+, so we didn’t end up going. I don’t know why they would set a minimum age for an event related to a game that tons of elementary school kids play. Leave that decision to parents. Then we watched the live stream and it seemed like lots of kids were there. Booo!

Great event for any Fortnite fan!

by Mel on 6/19/19The Forum - Inglewood

Well organized and lots of fun. My son had the best time! Epic Games really went all out with the production, celebrities and activities. We will definitely attend again!
