I'm glad I went to the Amway Center for the UCF v. UF basketball game with some friends. There will never be another first college basketball game...I'm glad I went...the only problem was the lack of items to purchase on-site to commemorate the event...Are there items available? I would love to have a shirt for the event...

was a wonderful expierence except for price of refreshments,, Way too high,,,$12.00 for a small pepsi and small bag of peanuts doesn't fly....will tell friends not to order anything The Center itself is Beautiful,,, don't believe there is a bad seat in house
I don't know for sure but it sure did look like the Univ of Florida had all the mid court seats and UCF had one end and most of the upper tier. I don't really know who was considered the "home team" even though the crowd looked pretty well split 50/50. I know when I purchased my tickets when the event first became available the best seats I could get were in section 103 and not that I am a high donor level contributor but I was hoping for some availability facing the court, not from the corner, that was dissappointing. If it was a nuetrual site then the seats should have been allocated evenly.
.One of our seats was not available. Seat 16. section 101 row 25 no such seat had to find an empty seat
GOOD: Great new venue. Beautiful new arena. Superb seats and facilities. Geico Garage was set up to be so very convenient. Great over court display, so you don't miss any of the action. Exciting match-up, well attended by fans from both schools. Overall close contest. BAD: My Gators had a tough night w/ what should have been the leading two scorers combining for a total of 2 (yes, two) points. My complements to the Knights with the excelent and emerging program.
There are no where near enough men's unrinals available to the pubic. There is way less than the old orena which did not have enough either. There are probably plenty for the founders and club seats but 5 or 6 in a room big enough for twice that and 100 men standing in. I will probably not go back the Amway Center for this reason. Place looks great but get some toilets.
From the convenient parking garage with easy in and out (we were half way home in no time because we exited the garage so fast), to the Arena space itself, it was an amazing experience!! Cannot wait to attend a big name concert in this arena...it will be first class!
UCF v. UF game was fabulous and the venue was great! I only wish more concession stands were open as it was a very well attended game.
My husband & I are true Gator Fans, but we are also Floridians and UCF just flat out-played the Gators. They deserved to win and hopefully, the Gators won't forget this throw down.
Great event. Would love to see this done every year. Maybe even expand it to a tournament with otehr teams in the state of Florida.
The game was awesome no matter what team you were rooting for. As a UCF fan the game was incredible. You cannot ask for anything less -- a close competitive game. I would have enjoyed it regardless of the outcome. I just enjoyed it more because of the outcome!

My wife and I attended the game, the first college basketball game at the Amway Center. The Arena and staff were fantastic. We drove from Jacksonville but it was worth the drive. We had a great time and will be back for more events. Parking was a breeze in the Geico garage. Exiting and entering I4 was a breeze.
We absolutely were thrilled to be in the new Amyway Center and it is quite a show piece. Walked through all food areas including the outdoor bar. Also walked to the highest point of seating just to see how that would be and were surprised that it gave a good view. Then we went to our seats and the experience was nearly ruined. We sat in section 118 row 24, with printed tickets that were confirmed for seats 13 and 14. Seat 14 was fine BUT THERE IS NO SEAT 13 in ROW 24. While the attendant did his best to fix things, we missed part of the event due to the mixup caused by others. Didn't feel like enough attention was given to making things right. In the end the entire row had to shift 1 seat over which we wouldn't have been able to do without Amway Center help and we watched the second portion of the game. We will be back. The court was great, the scoreboard was awesome. But somebody needs to fix the ticket printing issue with Ticketmaster. Not our issue it was thiers. The supervisor for Amway Center blamed it own Ticketmaster. We really didn't care who started it just wanted a quick resolution. PS: WE WEREN'T THE ONLY ONES WITH SEATING ISSUES.
Terrific event. First time in new Amway which is fantastic. Can't think of one thing that could have improved the experience. Well maybe one:the Gators could have won.
Great game. UCF pulled out a gutsy victory against a ranked UF team. The game was close all the way. Marcus Jordan lead the Knights to victory!
