This was an exciting weekend, we had a wonderful time at the battle of the bands and at the game. I like both schools so it didn't matter to me who won. Just being a part of a tradition like this is awesome. The high school bands were really good, and FAMU & BCU continue to be class acts. Thanks to the sponsors, the city and county of Orlando, FAMU, BCU and the many fans that were first class.
This was a good game sat in my seat the whole game
This was my first time going to the classic and I was impressed. It was great to see the families who came from far away to support their team. It was also great to see the respect the teams had for each other. It's definitely a family affair!
Game was great! Seat location was good. Atmosphere was pretty good despite the overcrowd. Vendors food is not as good as years before and I think a bit over priced for the quality.
Orlando you did it again, the city stepped up to the plate and again they hit a home run. It should be noted that they did it without the support of the mouse. That's OK maybe next time the key will with join Ronald in supporting this great event. Hotel romms were available at a reasonable cost. Traffic flow was no problem thanks to the olando PD. Parking was well coordinated, and I found it very easy to get in and out of the area. It was never this well coordinated in Tampa nor did the city and businesses extend the welcome a warm welcome to last as we've received in Orlando deal in our time there. This event continues to be high on my list of places to be in November. In conclusion I can say nothing but good things and complement all those responsible for another great classic.
Other than getting to a parking place a worthwhile experience. Even when parking was found; an excellent spot for leaving the area quickly
Our entire family enjoyed ourselves. Neither myself or my husband attended either college but it was still worth going to. The game was good, the half time show was great. The only thing we didn't like so much was the squished seating. We were literally sitting on top of the row in front of us but Overall we would recommend for a family outing or fans alike.
We had a great time and the accomodations were off the chain (Real Good). Excellent refreshments and food.
The accomodations were off the chain (real good). Everyone appeared to have a lot of fun socializing, cheering for their teams, and enjoying the refreshments during the game. We hoped that there were more chairs and tables under the tent however, the fans did not mind sharing the use in shifts. The experience was fulfilling and we look forward to the 2011 Fl Classic in the Upright Club.
classic weekend 2010 was great, the atomosphere was exciting and free flowing, the game was awesome and one of the best in years.
This game was great. This was my first and will not be my last... my daughter goes to FAMU and I met her in Orlando we had a great time together... We now will be to this game every year.......................... GO RATTLERS!
I attended another HBCU in Alabama and the joy and excitement were really great among the fans at this event. However, The MAGIC CITY CLASSIC ranks among the best. I love it so much when a plan comes together and produce such wonderful results. I hated to see BCU loose out on this one, but the challenge still remains and Cookman I am so proud of where you have come. There truly is nothing like a BLACK College experience. GO WILDCATS! HAIL WILDCATS!
:BCU: Still the MEAC Champs BCU: Still PLAYOFF Bound BCU: Nationally Ranked BCU: Meac Coach of the Year BCU: Offensive Player of Year BCU: Going to Honda Battle of the Bands! FAMU: Going home to WATCH BCU continue their season.....Rattlers won the Battle, but We definately WON THE WAR!! I am STILL A WILDCAT FAN
This is something my family and I do every year. I have family members that supports both schools. So yes we talk trash to each other, but it's all in fun. We all have a great time every year and will continue to as long the Florida Classic go's on. I'm a Famu Rattler for ever.
We had a blasteriffic time!!! The seats were good, the game was awesome, the vendors were great, especially the food and WE WON!!!! Definitely coming back again next year but will sit in the second session to be more in the crowd action. The only thing that i would suggest to work on is to have officers direct traffic at all intersections, at least the closest three to the stadium...took about 30 minutes to move one block to my pre-paid parking area. other than that ..THE CLASSIC WEEKEND WAS OFF THE NECKLACE...I MEAN OFF THE CHAIN!!!! LOL!
This game was worth every penny I paid for it. There was a sense of dread that was replaced with a sense of exhilaration. When FAMU's band left that message on the field that was the height of entertainment.
This was a great display of character and discipline. This is a class act bar none among sporting events. I've attended about eleven Classics and I've never witnessed a negative display of behavior. I highly recommend this event to younger students from other institutions to see a display of how people can compete and yet respect others. I would like to see better traffic control, but this is what it is, when you have more than a quarter of a milliion people congregated at one event, I guess you can expect this. The food was great also.
I enjoyed the pregame show as well as the actual game. Ticket prices were reasonable and I will be moving my seat closer to the field since the prices were so good
This was one of the best classic games ever! the rattlers really showed out
