    A toe tapping experience

by PAtraveler on 11/17/15Lyric Theatre - New York

We loved Lord of the Dance - Dangerous Games. The dancing was incredible, the staging very interesting and the show was a pleasure to watch. If you like dancing, fiddle playing and singing you will probably enjoy the show.

The show was just ok. Nice energy but since i've seen these shows before choreography was repeated throughout. Most importantly, however, was my disappointment that Michael Flatley was not in the show. The only reason I bought tickets (and they were expensive tickets), was because I thought he was performing. My review might be clouded by my disappointment. I approached the manager of the theater after the show only to find out he is not performing in any of the matinee performances. This should have been disclosed when i purchased the tickets through Ticketketmaster. I could have then gone to an evening performance, or not gone at all.

by rockland1 on 11/17/15Lyric Theatre - New York

It was hard to follow the story but the dancers were so good it didn't matter, we were all very happy to see Michael dance himself for the last 5 minutes

AMAZING AMAZING!!!! Michael Flately still got it!

by KittyKatRoss on 11/16/15Lyric Theatre - New York

This was amazing. Of course there is a part of me that wishes it was Michael Flatley throughout this whole performance, but of course with time and age, that is impossible. The anticipation of seeing him come out towards the end was insane. The audience went crazy (in a good way) when he made his appearance. Each scene was so powerful, I was so choked up. Definitely make it a point to see the show with Michael in it. He IS after all THE Lord of the Dance.

    Disappointing

by nsas on 11/15/15Lyric Theatre - New York

After spending almost $150 per seat, I was moved to another seat do to the balcony being closed for lack of patrons. The dancing was fantastic especially the lead dancer. There was no story line...The ticking clock in the beginning went on for too long. Was rather surprised at some of the more sensual dance moves, and attire - felt it was not tasteful, rather sleazy. The show should have just kept to the tradition Irish dancing. Michael Flatlely came on at the very end. He should not have bothered. He looked like an aging Liberace with his bejeweled jacket with his initials on the back. Would have prefer to see the lead dancer doing the closing dance. Very disappointed in the show...was not worth the price I paid for the ticket.

    Dangerous Games unbelievable

by Snnbrb on 11/15/15Lyric Theatre - New York

Lord of the Dance-Dangerous Games was outstanding. Michael outdid himself. It was very frustrating trying to get into the theater. There were 3 lines and it seemed everyone was being told something different as to what line to get into, will call, those with tickets, etc. Other than the ticket line issue it was a wonderful show; would love to see it again.

    Dangerous Games was incredible!

by Graycen on 11/14/15Lyric Theatre - New York

Whoever played Lord of the Dance for our performance was terrific. Michael Flatley can retire knowing that he has left the program in good hands. All of the performers did an outstanding job. Best Broadway show I have ever seen.

    Enjoyable

by Lavelle130 on 11/14/15Lyric Theatre - New York

I enjoyed the show, the performace and scenery plus the 3 D effect was amazing, it was worth my time, and put together well. Each time this show came to New York I was there, but this show topped it off.

    lord of the dance excellent

by titanic5 on 11/13/15Lyric Theatre - New York

Too many irish dance shows did not have enough dance segments in them. This show had all I could imagine. Great performers and great performance.

    Unbelievable!!

by MzGulch on 11/11/15Lyric Theatre - New York

The show was fabulous! I was disappointed though, that Michael did not dance live. I heard that he comes out for the encore at the evening performances. Unfortunately we were at the matinee and did not get to see him. However, all of the dancers, singers, violinists, and the pixie were wonderfeul. [especially the Lord of the Dance] Sorry it took me so long to see it live.

    Flatley's presentation was Flat

by UnhappyGuests on 11/11/15Lyric Theatre - New York

Overall a disappointment. From the opening scene which involved a tacky animated robot voiceover and canned music, random assortment of costumes, mediocre singing and musical numbers, CGI unicorns and volcanoes, robots, and women dancing in their gaudy costumes. No sign of Flatley himself, other then a video. The Irish dancers level of skill was exceptional, unfortunately the routines were few and far between. They should have stuck to the traditional dancing which is what I suspect people come to see.
