Through the combination of sad yet hopeful lyrics, Fiji Blue strives to guide the listener through their most vulnerable moments. Singer/songwriter Trevor Dering carries a unique writing style that touches on the inner conflicts between waves of sadness and ecstasy. The sound originated when Dering met producer Valentin Fritz at Berklee College of Music in 2017 where they developed the sonics that eventually blossomed into Fiji Blue’s first release in 2019. Fiji Blue takes each listener on a unique yet familiar journey.
Me and my boyfriend saw them at the Roxy in Hollywood and we were one of the first people in line and it was SOOO worth it we were front row and had an amazing time and we were able to take pics after the show! Some newer songs and older songs were played and everyone just felt really connected especially during “I should’ve told you” !! I gave Trevor a dolphin plushie and he really liked it 💙 me and my boyfriend cannot wait for another show :))
This was a birthday present to myself to see my favorite band play live for the first time. Let me just say Fiji Blue and Public Library Commute sound like angels live and even in person they are angels. I’m happy to be a fan and glad I was front row. Conrad and Trevor even stayed and connected with fans while taking pictures. You can tell and feel the energy was genuine. They really love their fans and the continuous support. I can’t wait to see them glow up even more, they deserve all their flowers!
