    Subpar

by Father of the Bride review on 2/7/24Meadow Brook Theatre - Rochester

Venue was great, acting was good, story line and script made it a snoozer. It was my first experience at Meadowbrook and I won't be back unless I absolutely know it will be worth the $50 I dropped.

    Not what I expected.

by Den on 2/5/24Meadow Brook Theatre - Rochester

Sorry to say, this was not one of my favorites. The play was slow moving and the acting seemed forced. Not what I expected from a play at Meadowbrook. Haven’t been there in several years and not likely to pay 50 for another in the future.

    Entertaining!!

    by Kallette on 1/25/24

We thoroughly enjoyed this show! We were laughing within the first few minutes. The cast was a mix of veteran and new performers and they were all wonderful! So grateful to have local theater of this caliber.

    Confusing

by Rob B. on 1/23/24Meadow Brook Theatre - Rochester

I didn't realize this play was going to be based on the original 40s or 50s version of Father of the Bride. Still, I didn't know what to make of this play. The best that I can say is that in trying to act as if this was a 1940s movie, it came across campy and not of high quality. Maybe that was what they were shooting for, which is why I say I didn't know what to make of it. I thought the dialogue was sup-bar as was most of the acting.

Overall it was a mediocre experience.

by E-mom on 1/23/24Meadow Brook Theatre - Rochester

The lead character, the father, was disappointing for me. He just over-acted and it took away from the play as a whole.

    Some fun and laughs

by Alkuhmist on 1/23/24Meadow Brook Theatre - Rochester

Every show at Meadowbrook is well done! The sets are always amazing and the cast talented. I felt like this show had the potential for more laughter and comedic presence but came up a little short. It certainly is still a fun night out and we will be back.

    I understand

by Pops on 1/20/24Meadow Brook Theatre - Rochester

As the father of a “little “ girl I totally understand. Play was well done with many cute lines and situations.
