    best concert of the year

by TS-Dani on 9/26/23Ruoff Music Center - Noblesville

I go to a lot of concerts (60+ in 2022, 2023 I'm at 40+) but this absolutely made it to #1 11 hours music and entertainment, great artist including a surprise. It was upbeat for at least 8 hours and I don't know how I was able to dance as much as I did. Everyone we saw was dancing, smiling, having a great time. Homegrown food was amazing, information was interesting and decorated so nicely. The Irsay exhibition was fun. Some lines could have had more guided waiting lanes (like merch) because it was hard to find a way through all these people, BUT it was a fantastic, epic day from start till end. Great job staff & volunteers and everyone involved. I will put Farm Aid on our yearly wish list from now on, although I'm a Ruoff Music Center Fan.

    Fantastic show but overcrowded

by Erin on 9/26/23Ruoff Music Center - Noblesville

The musical acts were top-notch, and I really enjoyed the festival area and farm-to-table food options. My only complaint was that the lawn area seemed to be oversold. There were probably a few hundred people who were forced to stand against the back fence because there was literally no more room on the grass.

    Farm Aid 2023

by IndyZig on 9/26/23Ruoff Music Center - Noblesville

What a joyful and wonderful day filled with music, food, and learning. It was wonderful seeing and hearing from local farmers. The workshops were great for those interested in learning more about farming practices and it was nice having more food options (even though the prices were VERY high!). All of the performers were great - from Mellencamp to Margo Price to Willie Nelson - it was great entertainment! The one negative was the Jim Irsay band - he had no business performing and it was INSANE that he got a prime time to perform. I have never seen so many people rush to the RR or to get food during a performance. It would have been funny if it wasn't so sad. I guess money can buy you anything. Neil Young's performance seemed much shorter than others, but he sounded amazing. A great night for a great cause!

    WAY too crowded

by GACBAB on 9/26/23Ruoff Music Center - Noblesville

Five stars for the artists. Two stars for the overall experience. Ruoff needs to stop overselling tickets. Second show there this summer, and I will not be back for a sold out show. If ever. The insanely crowded lawn area spills over onto walkways making it very difficult to navigate thru the venue and find a spot to land, unless you are able to arrive super early (that is not realistic for everyone). Concessions area was a nightmare, just to walk thru, let alone stand in impossibly long lines. I appreciated the locally sourced food options, but just too hard to get a meal without being squished like sardines in long lines, and missing some of the music. The crowded conditions take so much enjoyment away from the experience and the amazing performances, even if you have reserved seats. Farm Aid, of all music events, should be easier for older people, individuals health issues, and families. It is uncomfortable and unsafe. Ruoff either needs to sell fewer tickets, or Farm Aid needs to find a much bigger space.

First timer here for going to Farm Aid, and let me tell you it didn't disappoint! Spectacular performances, and amazing surprise guest, couldn't imagine anything more. Local food vendors, farm fresh foods! Such an amazing experience to be apart of!

    Too Quiet

by S_Dash on 9/26/23Ruoff Music Center - Noblesville

When a show is acoustic, you need to boost the sound. The Sound Engineer obviously forgot to turn up the sound in the Lawn. Couldn't hear a word of Mellencamp, Neil Young, or Willie.

    Oversold Concert

by James on 9/26/23Ruoff Music Center - Noblesville

Another example of Ticketmaster overselling seats to the venue. There was literally nowhere to sit or stand in the lawn. It made the concert miserable. It was additionally unsafe to have that many patrons in a spot that was over capacity. Had there been a safety event, egress would have been impossible for occupants. I should have saved my money and watched the live stream on YouTube.

    I had the best time!!!

by N. E. on 10/10/22Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - Raleigh

I loved the entertainment line up! The change over was quick and not a long wait between entertainers. Very powerful speeches made by Allison Russell, Margo Price, John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson. I’ve waited a lifetime to see Wille Nelson and I finally can check this off my bucket list. Can I just say WOW!! His sons Lukas and Micah are amazing musicians and singers as well!! Lukas is easy on the eyes too! 💜 The concert and entertainment was all I expected and more!!!! My only issues were prices of food, drinks, and merchandise. I understand merchandise was being sold as part of the charitable event but $40-45 for a T-shirt is a bit much. The food vendors must have intended on getting rich… $30 for a hamburger, FF, & drink. Same price 2 for chicken in a sticks. $10 for a sweet potato the size of a baseball that had maybe a 1/2 oz of brisket, brown sugar, 4 strands of shredded cheese, and bbq sauce. All 5 bites were super delicious but the price for the amount was ridiculous. Thank goodness, I had snacks packed!!
