  • Bucket List

by Linda on 9/25/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

It was so special to be able to attend a Farm Aid concert, locally. The music and opportunity will be remembered forever! Seeing Willie Nelson was a dream come true!

  • Great Performances

by Kelly on 9/25/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Enjoyed the music all day. Was not disappointed. I loved getting to hear Willy Nelson and at 91 still has it! Got to hear Neil Young in person for the 1st time and got to enjoy all the songs I grew up with. John Melloncamp was my favorite. I loved his voice. Mavis Staples is a legend and at 85 years old still has it. I had watched her documentary on HBOMax earlier this year and was excited to see I was going to hear her live. Was not disappointed. Nathaniel Rateliff I had heard in person and thought his voice was better. Lukas Nelson I love his voice and the rest of the Nelson family. Not sure if the venue gave justice to the singers though as it was off at times where we sat in the balcony. The seats were great up there and comfortable. Lots of food choices. The food and drinks were expensive. While I'm sure some funds were going to Farmaid - I would love to know how much. Just to make me feel better that ____% markup is donated versus me wondering, otherwise it was way overpriced.

  • I’m in awe

by Daisy on 9/25/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

This was the most amazing experience. The entertainment was beyond words and the festival was informative and fulfilling. I grew up on a private produce farm of 60 acres so I was at home, so touched and grateful of all exhibits. The concert was amazing, seeing Willie live is now checked off my bucket list. Most peaceful while still high energy concert imaginable! It’s a must do again!!!

The lineup of musicians was fantastic. SPAC was the perfect place to hold the event in upstate New York.

  • Great but needs work

by Tahee on 9/24/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 3 out of 5

Prices are out of this world. Especially coming in from Canada. Viewing the stage was incredibly hard even though we were in line for 2 hours prior to the show. Having a designated walking areas to get in and out of the area would have been ideal. Everyone comes from the back and takes over your view. Even though you’ve been there all day. A better set up in general would have been great

  • way oversold

by SN on 9/24/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 2 out of 5

I have never seen SPAC packed like this before, no shot of having any kind of view of the stage unless you were there hours early. And yes I have been to plenty of packed shows there in the past (GnR, dead and company, etc) none were nearly as bad as this

  • Excellent Festival

by Frantzy on 9/24/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

This music festival staged one excellent act after another. Beautiful setting, easy parking, plenty of food and beverage vendors. On top of all that, it is an excellent cause! Support small farmers.

  • UNBELIEVABLY GREAT MUSIC

by Meg0310 on 9/24/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 4 out of 5

.....but wow, the prices are astronomically high for EVERYTHING. Coming from Canada, of course we needed to take into account the exchange rate which literally made everything we bought 35% higher than the posted price. Even the posted prices were awfully high. Alcoholic drinks, that tasted of no alcohol were going for $26/shot with a downright bargain of $23 for a refill? Apparently you're paying for a stupid plastic glass with a shot glass type thing on top of it. But the cup comes with a disclaimer, you have to hold the glass lid just so or the entire drink will end up down the front of your shirt. That cost me $35 Canadian - for a drink - that you couldn't taste the alcohol in - served with more ice than drink. The food that we had was meh. Ham steak sandwich, served swimming in cheap tasting bbq sauce plopped on top of two pieces of white bread - there's your sandwich and that was $25. I hate half of it and threw out the rest, it was awful. I always get a shirt or hoodie when we go to music festivals - except this time. They wanted $160 American ($216 Canadian) for a freakin hoodie. Now the good things. The parking was so close to the venue ( we paid ahead of time - $60), the venue itself was beautiful, the weather cooperated and the bathrooms had flush toilets, running water and were sparkling clean with lots of toilet paper even as the day wore on. The venue was clean with very little garbage on the ground. They even had ambassadors who helped you get rid of your recyclables and garbage into the correct containers. Because we bought lawn seats we were only able to see bits of the stage if we stood up and held our tongues just right! We got there early enough that we were actually on the lawn, many that came after were sitting in the middle of the concourse behind the lawn. Workers were very helpful and kind. Lot was super easy to get in and out of. Won't go back, this was our second time, which was way better than our first time but seeing as how Mr. Willie is 91, chances are good there won't be too many of these festivals left. John Mellencamp's voice is shot, he could hardly sing. Willie spoke most of his songs with his family singing behind him. Neil Young is starting to show his age but by and far was the best performer there imho. Dave Matthews music style isn't to our liking. Lukas Nelson was great too. The other performers were "ok"but I wouldn't have paid to see any of them individually. Honest review - had a lot of fun, the weather was great, the music was good but the prices will prevent us from going back as will the food.

  • OVER PRICED & CROWDED

by Aria on 9/24/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 1 out of 5

I am a palled as to how we have to be treated to walk into an establishment after paying for lawn seats, not being able to bring our own food when there’s an event from 12 noon all the way till midnight. Forcing us to purchase way overpriced food and beverage. It’s disgusting and it’s communistic, and they really should organized the lawn seating and standing situation because it was a cluster you know what! And that’s my review Never again!

This was my first Farm Aid. I could not have asked for a more perfect day. The weather was fabulous, the venue spectacular, the staff super helpful and friendly, the vendors were well staffed, not too long a wait. The concert was amazing!! • Great time, not enough space

by ChrisBreezy on 9/24/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Farm Aid was a great time, lines for food and bevs were short. Merch had many windows. Staff was great, security moved fairly quick. BUT Spac needs to downgrade it's lawn capacity. Too many people get the bathroom screens and all the odors that come with it. I paid $106, got there at 10am, and it was either sit under the ramp or by the bathroom. Crazy.

  • Farming is Food - FARM AID 2024

by PMC 2437 on 9/24/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

I experienced the best of Farm Aid 2024 in Saratoga Springs, NY. I offered my hand in volunteering for the week and had the best experience of my life. I participated in catering with seasoned professionals and participated in all the offerings of this event. A well oiled machine for this momentous event and never failed to please in any way. Choice of Saratoga Performing Arts was an exceptional choice - held the event well with security and safety, clean environment with composting and recycling on board, user friendly staff for any questions. The musical performance lineup was incredible and insightful as well. Lead by the founders of Farm Aid, Mr. Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Dave Matthews and well as other favorite performers, it was one exciting and meaningful musical set - one right after another. It was a pleasure to be part of Farm Aid - a privilege in fact. Bravo!
