Enjoyed their performance. They were as good as I remembered them back in the 80s. I would definitely see them again

WHILE THIS EVENT HAD BEEN HIGHLY ANTICIPATED BY THE GROUP I WENT WITH, WE WERE ALL A LITTLE CONCERNED AFTER THE FIRST TWO ARTISTS. HOWEVER, ONCE CANDY MAN CAME ON, THE FUN BEGAN AND FOR THE MOST PART CONTINUED ON. THERE WAS AT LEAST ONE MORE DISAPPOINTMENT. ALL IN ALL, IT WAS A GREAT TIME, RELIVING OLD SCHOOL MUSIC. I WOULD TOTALLY DO IT AGAIN, BUT WOULD PREFER THEIR TO BE AT LEAST A SEATING OPTION AND ALOT LESS GAPS BETWEEN STARS. IF IT ENDED BEFORE MIDNIGH BUT WITH LESS GAPS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT. WE FOUND OURSELVES STANDING AROUND ALOT WAITING AND REALLY DIDN'T PAY TO LISTEN TO THE DJ AS LONG AS WE DID. FUN WAS HAD BY ALL OVERALL.

It was like a high school dance party for the most part for us that went to junior high and high school in the 80's and 90's. Each performer sang their most famous songs. The in between time for each act was 10 minutes but as the night grew older those 10 minutes seemed like forever. The DJ did a great job of keeping the energy up. They had a few sound AV issues. But by the time Stacey Q performed we were TIRED! It was hard standing on concrete from 6PM until 12AM. EXPOSE: Point Of No Return, Let Me be The One, Come and Go With Me SIR MIX-A-LOT: Baby Got Back, Posse On Broadway, Square Dance Rap DEBBIE DEB: Look Out Weekend, When I Hear Music, I'm Searchin' TONE-LOC : Funky Cold Medina, Wild Thing STACEY Q.: Two Of Hearts NOCERA: Summertime Summertime, Let's Go CYNTHIA: Change On Me, Dream Boy CANDY MAN: Knock 'N' Da Boots Candyman and Javier the X-man did a great job as MCs.

Other then being Hot as you know what, This concert was GREAT! My DH and I met in a club 22 1/2 years ago listening to the music played and brought back ALOT of good memories! Personally think Sugar Hill should have closed the show. When Expose was on, I think that they need to stop or for someone to adjust the sounds. I don't know if it was the mics or what but the sound/music was off. But all in all was an amazing show! Can't wait for Septembers concert! Just hope it's not 100 degrees again!!

Freestyle explosion 2013 was a great show. It was a good time.

The First Concert that I went to in Farmingville and it was AWESOME!!!! Cynthia, Lil Suzie Sugar Hill Gang and all the rest did a good job. Cant wait for the next concert!!!!!!

went to the free style concert july 6th with my husband we loved it we went last year as well and will be going to the next one at the pennysaver amphitheater on sept 21st every one should get the tickets and go you will love it

boring, most performers were not even singing and there sidekicks were horrible. seem like amateaur night at the apollo. My wife in the other hand loves the music.

We went late to the event, but it was a great show! Cynthia and Johnny O took down the house with their song. Safire was on fire! She smoked it! Even Sugar Hill Gang were good and we are not fans (not really freestyle). Exposé were awesome even tho their sound was off for the first few songs. They pulled thru and even had a meet and greet after the show. Very nice ladies!

There were 9 of us that went to the Freestyle Explosion we went a bit late but it was also very hot that day. We hung out on the grass and the music just kept coming and coming and we all just kept dancing and dancing. Everyone around us guys and girls were dancing and having a great time. We all enjoyed ourselves and in between acts the DJ was awesome. We can't wait to go back I heard another explosion is coming in the month of September I bet their will be more of us going.

The sound system was terrible just like last year! Johnnie O, Safire, Cynthia, joyce simms, sugar hill gang and the dancer were good- everyone else should retire quickly and I love freestyle music- I guess you get what you pay for. The bathrooms were disgusting and there was a whole selection of food vendors which hardly no one knew about unless you walked up the hill and waited on the beer line. Over all I was VERY DISAPPOINTED- thank God for TKA LAST YEAR or else that would of been a flop TOO! I could of had a better time in my backyard Of I would of just had a freestyle party and plug in my IPOD- you need tka- coro and Judy Torres !!!!

I grew up listening to freestyle during some of the best (& worst) times of my life. The concert was off the hook! I couldnt stay still and danced the Night away to fresh beats. Cynthia rocked the house with her flawless voice. Unforgetable hits and a smile that could light the darkness looking forward to jamming during the next show in September!

After waiting around all night to see the headline (Expose), the sound was teribble, lots of static and loud feedback. Couldn't even hear them sing. We left in the middle of their second song very disappointed.

All of the acts that came on were so great! There was a lot of people that came out but it wasn't overcrowded. The music was so great. Joyce Simms was by far the best with her dancers on roller skates. Debbie-Deb was so much fun and Lil Susie killed it. I loved the show and will deffinatley go again. The Iconic Dance Crew absolutly shut down any other dancers possibly on that stage that day. I could watch them a million times they never get old to me.

It was so great myself an family an friends are going again Sept21,2013 can't wait.it brought back the good days of going to an club an just enjoying the music.we need to have a club back on the island called free style explosion

The lack of sound technical support & heat wave didn't help the performers.

I took my mom for her birthday and it was not only great to se her remembering old songs she loves but it was also very entertaining to see everyone up and dancing and just having a great time:)

We had a great time at the concert dancing in the isles and singing along with out favorite performers.

The Ultimate 80's Explosion event was so poorly organized it took away any enjoyment I might have received from the actual event. To start off I was sold a seat that didn't exist. Was finally placed in a seat whose owner didn't show up. People blocked the aisles and I wasn't able to see the stage. Hilton personnel never cleared the aisles. There were no screens showing the stage on either side of the stage to accommodate those of us who couldn't see the stage which is normal at these kinds of events. The event itself was so-so.

great line up, just wish Lisa Lisa had more time onstage
