    family.

by sushiguy on 6/3/10Park West - Chicago

After much ado about being asked to bring sushi for the Evelyn's lunch we arrived at the venue and were welcomed with open arms by Amanda, Jason, Skip, Eric, and three friends my anxiety about meeting them and rolling sushi for them was gone in one sweeping moment and was followed by the immediate feeling of connection to these wonderful people. I am beside myself with gratitude to them for treating us to a most amazing evening. the show was beyond what my expectations were the sound was perfect and the Evelyns were just spectacular Skip opened with a wonderful routine of hand made instruments, the very shy evelyns followed with a heartfelt routine of piano, guitar, harpsichord, and candy-bar. Jason mobley followed with an audience participated couple song celebratory get down and amanda finished with an amazing Radiohead cover and all rejoined the stage for a drinking song followed by hugs and kisses to all with signatures. we left but not before they gave us a very loving and personal goodbye with demands of providing sushi for future Chicago events. Thank you guys for a very fond memory.... with Love, Kyle

This show was part theater, part improve, part musical entertainment all Fantastic. I have followed Amanda Palmer since Dresden Dolls and all her reincarnations. This was the most entertaining show I have been to because it was full of surprises.

AFP, Jason and the Twins were AMAZING!!

by MinneaPolish on 6/2/10Cedar Cultural Center - Minneapolis

Amanda and Jason are marvelous performers. Their music is eclectic and awesome by itself, but both of them take these performance to the next level. You feel like it is one of your friends singing their heart out, not someone you've never actually met. Truly Fantastic.

    Evelyn Evelyn - The Adventure

by Sassy54 on 6/2/10Cedar Cultural Center - Minneapolis

This show featured many creative artists - Sxip Shirey, Amanda Palmer, Jason Webley and Evelyn Evelyn. Sxip is a circus freak of the best kind. He is a complete joy to watch and I can't help but smiling the entire time he is playing. Evelyn and Evelyn are shy girls with a mischievous side. And they love chocolate. Their story is bittersweet, but they make wonderful music together. Jason Webley's portion of the show was filled with tons of energy. He is killer on the accordion! And, of course, Amanda Palmer was beyond amazing. I love her and will always love her. She played a new song that was simply incredible. I had brought a new friend with who had never heard any of these musicians before and she absolutely is sold and will definitely be coming with me again next time I go, which thrills me to no end :)

Evelyn Evelyn in Minneapolis was amazing. On top of a great show it was Jason Webley's birthday and Neil Gaiman was there to celebrate. Wonderful night.

Evelyn Evelyn was the Evelynt of the YEAR!

by Yuda on 5/22/10Showbox at the Market - Seattle

The highly anticipated Seattle debut of Evelyn Evelyn was even more than I expected. The otherwise shy duo performed a vaudvilian cavalcade of bright snappy numbers. I felt like the audience was one during this stellar performance! Not to be missed! Having seen Webley on numerous occasions, I knew it would be fantastic, but it was eleven times better than I could even have imagined it would be! Sxip Shirey as narrator/host was a huge bonus!

    Amazing performers all around

by HandC on 5/20/10Showbox at the Market - Seattle

You never know what to expect at an Amanda Palmer or Jason Webley show. The two are awesome on their own, and together they're just astounding. Sxip Shirey was fantastic as well as an opener, creating sounds that you'd never think would come out of some of his simple handmade instruments. One such feat was when he pumped three duct taped penny whistles through a pitch-shifter and made them sound just like a giant pipe organ. Evelyn Evelyn played off their shyness quite well, and it took them a while to warm up to the audience but went off with a bang (literally...). It's impressive how conjoined twins can play a keyboard, accordion, and ukulele with one arm each. There was a minor freakout moment with Evelyn during Chicken Man, but she was subdued quickly with an offer of Twix. They'd had enough of being pushed to perform by the end of their stage time, so when Sxip Shirey was going to have them perform a new version of Tomorrow by Annie, they promptly shot him. Jason Webley was all over his instruments and stomp box, and did well to get lots of audience participation. The guy really knows how to rock an accordion. It's a shame he's not known better locally because he's quite talented and a riot to watch. He also plays the guitar. Amanda Palmer closed out the show by talking to the audience, pulling out songs from her own solo album as well as The Dresden Dolls, a cover by Sia, taking requests, and even singing a Happy Birthday version of Oasis to a girl in the audience. She's always so much energy and a blast to watch. At the end of the show, Sxip Shirey and Jason Webley joined Amanda Palmer onstage and they did a couple encores, including The Drinking Song by Jason Webley, where they had the entire audience get up and get dizzy to sing along since not everyone was drinking. It was a fantastic show full of surprises.

    Very entertaining. Highly recommend!

by jesi on 5/20/10Showbox at the Market - Seattle

Even if you don't know who any of these amazing artists are, you won't be disappointed. It didn't even feel like I had been there for six hours so when the show was over I was a bit surprised.
