About

EVE 6 IN CONCERT:

Punk-rock heroes Eve 6 first exploded onto the scene in 1998 with their smash hit "Inside Out", and they've been cranking out the hits ever since. The band combines honest lyrics with grunge guitars and hard-hitting drum patterns to achieve their anthemic sound, and it all comes together at their passionate, fast-paced live performances. Whether they're playing nostalgic tunes like "Here's To The Night" or sharing tracks from 2012's Speak In Code -- their first record since their eight-year hiatus – the members of Eve 6 are masters of their craft who never fail to deliver a high-octane show on their unforgettable tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Southern California pop punk group Eve 6 was formed in 1995 by high school friends Max Collins, Jon Siebels, and Nick Meyers. They started out playing local gigs in the LA area under the name Eleventeen and scored a recording contract with RCA before they even reached graduation. The young act achieved mainstream success with their 1998 self-titled debut, which was certified platinum and lanuched the group to stardom with the No. 1 hit "Inside Out". They followed up with 2000's Horrorscope, another standout record that showcased the band's softer side with "Here's To The Night". The band parted ways in 2004 but reunited to record 2012's Speak In Code, which earned a Top 10 spot on the Billboard Alternative Albums chart and put the band back on the rock music radar. Since then Eve 6 has shared the stage with Everclear, All-American Rejects, and headlined several dates of their own, and they'll continue to share hit-filled sets with eager fans on tour.

Eve 6 is amazing. Such a great show. ;)

The show was great. They played the popular songs and some new ones that will be released with the album in 2012. They even took the time to sign autographs and take pics with us. They truely care about their loyal friends.

    Up Close & Personal

3rd time seeing Eve 6 live. The first time was 10 years ago in a huge stadium when they were touring with Third Eye Blind. At the Mercury Lounge, I was easily able to stand right in front of the stage near vocalist Max Collins, which made this an awesome intimate show. Still a timeless band, but the bar-like setting of the Mercury Lounge really shows how much they need to make some new material to bring in their next generation audience.

Had a great time with Eve 6 at the Mercury Lounge! Place was packed! Good old punk rock and mostly the guys of the crowd sang along all the lyrics to each song! Amazing! It was a very good pick for entertainment on my birthday!;-)

Eve 6 Rocked the Mercury Lounge!

by NMNM on 11/4/10Mercury Lounge - New York

I've seen Eve 6 many times. They were as great as ever and the Mercury Lounge best venue to see them. The place is tiny, maybe 200 people tops!

It was surreal experience seeing one of the bands that inspired me to play rock music playing on the same stage I performed on 2 years ago. These guys are AWESOME live! Excellent stage presence and engagement with the audience. They clearly love what they do. A few notes where off, but I'm sure Max was just being careful with his voice because the majority of the set was right on point. So glad I finally got to see these guys after listening to them for over 10 years

Eve 6 blew off the roof!

by Jennysinspace on 11/3/10Mercury Lounge - New York

I've been following Eve 6 from the very beginning and was thrilled to see that they were coming back to NYC. I love that they play in small venues like Mercury Lounge. It makes for a much better performance, and they put every once of energy they have into it. I The first show of the night was so good that we decided to buy tickets for the added second performance. And that was even better! I enjoyed all the new songs and rocked out to the classic hits.

    Eve 6 is Back!

by BridgenTunnel on 11/3/10Mercury Lounge - New York

I am a long-time Eve 6 fan seeing them for the eleventh time (twelve if you count the 6:30 pm AND 10 pm shows on Monday night). Eve 6's set list was enjoyable, mixing old favorites from the band's three major studio LPs, new-unreleased tunes that have quickly become favorites among the band's loyal fanbase, and BRAND NEW songs. "Victoria" was a tremendous crowd-pleaser. These shows also featured Gabe Witcher (Eve 6's touring bassist from the "Horrorscope" era and drummer Tony Fagenson's cousin) for a couple songs, including the unreleased new fan favorite "Pick Up the Pieces," for which Max picked up an acoustic guitar. Finally, Eve 6 guitarist Matt Bair cannot go unmentioned; his energy was contagious in engaging the crowd. The venue was great (solid acoustics, not too crowded) and the opening act "Lions of Ido" was a pleasant surprise. These guys have a great sound! Great show overall.

Excellent show. They still sound good even though it's been 10 years since I last saw them live.

    Don't cut your fans short!

by Anonymous on 11/3/10Mercury Lounge - New York

I was extremely disappointed by the fact that a second show was added later in the evening (once the first show sold out), and it required cutting the first show short. Eve6 even commented that they were holding back some new songs for the second act. I didn't stick around and pay another entrance fee to see more new songs, but I expected that when I bought tickets for the first show, I would get to see an entire show lasting longer than 58 minutes. I bought tickets with a group of 11 friends to see the return of Eve6, but I think the band got off to an awful start with the most dedicated fans, who bought tickets when they went on sale but were robbed of seeing an entire show. That said, I did enjoy both the old and new songs, but still left with a sour taste.

Eve 6 is an amazing band, with amazing songs and a great stage presence. The are very interactive with the crowd and you can tell they really appreciate and love their fans. Words to describe the feeling I get at an Eve 6 show would be awestruck and elated!
