First game and loved it, hope to make several more games
Icemen games are great.. Ford center very nice.. Needs a better beer selection but really cool thing to do!
This was our second game to attend. We love it !!! We are avid basketball fans but had never followed hockey until now. We will be looking into season tickets for next year. The stadium and facilities are great We were very pleased and impressed. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The constant entertainment for the fans is an added extra too !!
First hockey game for me and granddaughter. First event at Ford Center. Lots of energy in the crowd and the game was fast paced and exciting. The facility is clean, up to date, easy to maneuver. Our only negative was seating that looked to be terrific on the seating chart but ended up being behind the team (standing all the time) which blocked the view. At the end of the first period we moved up for better view. I know now which seats to avoid. Great time was had by all.
Great night out for family fun! Ticket prices are reasonable and the entertainment value is priceless!
The seats that I bought on line were lousy. Right behind the bench, looking into the backs of the hockey players. For $30 a ticket, I expect more control over my seat selection. The on line ticketing offers no such option for seat selection.
Loving the new arena!..and the hockey!...icemen need to be more agressive !!!...it's hockey we wanna see slams, hits, punches ...blood!....thats what hockey is all about...let's get rowdy!!!!..thats what this fan wants!
We were very pleased with the Icemen game on Sunday (and the win too). No helmets or gloves on the ice, just skates, pucks and skills. Very refreshing, since we go to see the game, not the cheap fighting.
Great action, good entertainment, and a tremendous value! I will most certainly be going back to see the Icemen.
The icemen games are a lot of fun but the seats chosen are very important. Too low and you can't see the game at all, too high and you have absolutely NO legroom and it is very uncomfortable! The game is highly recommended though. Always lots of excitement!
It was very exciting to be at the first hockey game at the Ford Center. The arena is beautiful, and the team was fun to watch. The one location for entering and exiting was perhaps inadequate, and I recommend not selling beer after the first period. Also, the arena opened at 6:20PM for the general public, which seemed a little close to opening faceoff. But I think these are just kinks to work out. It's a great arena, and we are thrilled Evansville has real pro hockey. Can't wait for the next game!
First hockey game, it was great daughter really loved it. Already got more tickets for another game
Highly recommend Evansville Iceman Hockey. Great show, awesome venue, really good hockey. Overall, an absolutely wonderful family experience.
First time to Evansville's new Ford Center. Came in with a friend from Chicago to watch the Icemen take on Fort Wayne. It was a great facility and a great game.
Icemen provided great family entertainment. I was especially pleased to see the Icicles dressed modestly . We will be attending other Icemen games.
the event was awsome, but not so impressed with the stadium, Roberts has much more room and you don't feel as if you were gonna topple over.
Great game & arena. The arena was very modern andeasy to find. Parking spaces was good. Very family oriented. My 9 year son loved it and wants to go back.
The new Ford Center made for an awesome experience at this IceMen game. We sat in Upper level but it really was not a bad seat! Over 8700k fans were in attendance for this game. Amazing experience and a family friendly environment.
Gates were supposed to open at 6:00. They didn't open until 6:20ish (we were told they didn't have the glass put up around the ice yet!) Then they wouldn't let us go to our seats for another 10 minutes. After we reached our seats, we were told we had to move seats because the Ford Center OVERBOOKED our section! The employees told us we would be VERY happy with our new seats - NOT THE CASE! Our seats were higher up than the ones we had purchased. We were in folding chairs and a whole section over from where our original seats were. I had purchased seats in the section that was in the middle of the ice and wasn't even close:( We enjoyed the games at Swonder a LOT more! The music and atmosphere was sooo much better. The new stadium is nice and I am sure we will return...hopefully our next experience will be better!
The first hockey game -- and first large event -- in the new Ford Center in downtown Evansville was great. Parking was easy, lots of options for dinner beforehand or post-game festivities, and the arena itself is very impressive. I'd highly recommend the Icemen games -- and really anything else at the arena that is of interest. Parking for bigger events may sometimes be a little more complicated, but plan your options ahead of time and ideally go early (so you can park on the streets nearby or in the free parking behind the Civic Center a few blocks away), or just be ready to pay $4-5 for a parking garage.
