Victory Theatre First Timer
by L. Ashley- Hughes on 4/7/24Victory Theatre - EvansvilleWent to see Etta Mae and her Southern Fried Chicks at the Victory Theatre on April 4, 2024. Was our first time seeing the theatre or the show. Both were GREAT! We had Balcony seating in the very front- left side. Only 2 small rows in front of us. Talk about awesome seats!!! And the theatre itself was Spectacular! We felt like we'd stepped back in time. Unlike the sterile, modern theatres of today, the grandeur of yesteryear shined through. From the golden columns to the tassels on the chandelier lighting. Sure, it had some modern enhancements, like the elevator, bathrooms and lobby bar. But they were tucked just far enough to one side, so as not to detract from the Classic Greatness of The Victory. The staff was amazing as well. From the lady's in the ticket booth to the ushers. We plan on going back in September for the Who's Line Is It Anyway - LIVE show and again in October for the David Bowie Tribute show. With only about 1,100 seats, this venue is big enough, yet still feels intimate and cozy. We made friends with an older couple who had driven all the way from Lafayette. That right there should tell you how great of a place The Victory Theatre is.
