Ethel Cain is the creation of Florida-born multidisciplinary artist Hayden Anhedönia. After years spent teaching herself to produce at home in the Florida panhandle and releasing various projects, Cain moved to Indiana and single-handedly wrote, produced, recorded and mixed her acclaimed 2021 EP Inbred from the basement of the old church where she lived.
Since then, she has released three bodies of work. Her 2022 debut album Preacher's Daughter, a multimedia work that took more than four years to assemble, was released in May 2022 to widespread praise, with many critics naming the album one of the best of the year. In 2025 she has unveiled Perverts, a 90-minute project exploring her furthest afield inspirations from ambient and drone, and her sophomore LP Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You, both to near-universal acclaim.
Cain has played headline shows and packed festival sets around the world and is currently in the midst of her completely sold out Willoughby Tucker Forever tour; walked in New York and Paris fashion weeks and worked with Dior, Givenchy, Miu Miu and Calvin Klein; and collaborated and shared stages with Florence + the Machine, Mitski and more.

this was by far the best concert i’ve ever been to! hayden is one of the most amazing and talented singers and songwriters i’ve had the pleasure of listening to. her show was beautifully crafted, amazing sound system, set, live instruments, performance, and ofc her signing. if i could only see one concert again in my life it would be this one
The fans were awesome, I met so many great people and the security really worked to help anyone who needed it. Water was being passed out all night and Hayden (Ethel Cain) made sure to stop the show if she saw anyone in distress or needing help. She sounded amazing and seemed like she was having so much fun with the crowd. Definitely one of the best concert experiences I’ve ever had!
Sons of Cain rise up !! Fabulous show. Venue was great too
World class concert. What a night. Spellbinding. One of the better performances you will ever see. And at one of the nicest venues in Philly with some of the best staff, who were very friendly and attentive. I didn’t want the night to end.
I am an Ethel Cain fan, so to see Hayden live felt unreal! Hayden was creative with her setlist, and even included a song from her EP! Her lighting choices and stage design were very intentionally and created a beautiful atmosphere for her set. Hayden's voice is stunning. I want to see her again!
This was the second coming of Christ I saw god about 17 times
it was like a spiritual experience. amazing performance and performer. i would go 100x over again!!
Fiancée and I loved seeing Hayden, she was incredible, sound was gorgeous, and she was so sweet. Asheville yards certainly was not my favorite venue whatsoever especially considering it was a sold out event and how crowded it was, but seeing her was wonderful anyways and exceeded my expectations.
It would be nice to get information beyond the gates open time. We looked at previous venues for Ethel Cain and start times were 9ish after the opener. Knowing my son had issues in the heat at a prior event at this venue, we opted to skip the opener. We showed up at 830 only to find she has been on for almost 30 minutes. Others I know came closer to 9 and missed half the concert. I know artist are not consistent with start times but the venue knows if they will be on early for sound reasons(apparently the reason here)... so even in the email saying gates open at 7 artist on by 815 or something to give us heads up.... my son was devastated to miss the beginning and also for her to cut the set shorter than other venues added to the devastation. This is the third event for us at the venue and so many people passing out or heat stroke.... maybe mid May to mid September is not the best time if year for outdoor concerts in Austin! It is so miserably hot.
