Esperanza Spalding Chamber Music Society Tickets

Esperanza is amazing! She took control of that stage from start to finish and led us all into her groove and we all floated on with her. Very refreshing to see great young musicians like her.

Honestly? Totally beyond words. Esperanza marches to her own drummer and it's refreshing to see. She certainly is not tied down by any genre. Her energy is strong and earthmoving. And I think the entire venue was spent after her performance. I need to be whereever she is the next time she performs.

I absolutely loved Esperanza's performance on May 21st. It was a great Birthday treat to myself. Her voice, versatility, performance style and improvisation was unmatched. I love her voice and it was much more astounding in person. Her understanding of the play between notes is amazing. I would definitely go again.

For one so young to have this immense talent and to stand in that talent and simply be who she is.I was astounded.Her vocal ability, her musical craftmanship or should I say craftswomanship!.The future of Jazz is secure with her taking it to another level.

On an evening when the latest prediction of apocalypse proved false, it was wonderful to be in the company of an angel. This tiny young woman who is no bigger than the upright bass she masterfully plucks made beautiful music, accompanied by a string section, pianist, drummer and backing vocalist. Esperanza is magical. Her smooth, clear, enchanting voice made the evening fly by. Her music is a sublime combination of classical chamber music and classical jazz. I would gladly see her again.
