    Still confused

by Blown on 12/9/19EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

So DC comedian Joe C and NAS were fantastic! For someone who has seen Ms. Badu several times prior to this show, I was disappointed. By the time everything came together....she was done.

    Erykah Badu & Nas

by Devon on 12/9/19EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Nas was great! Erykah Badu was late and didn't get on stage until 10:30 PM, between 9:30 and 10:30 a DJ played until she came on stage, that part of the show was not good! Not understanding why a show that started at 8:00 PM and she didn't show up on stage until 10:30 PM.

    Cheated -Be on Time

    by Die-heart Fan-Disappointed Again on 12/9/19EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Nas was great! He started his performance just after 8:00 (show started at 8:00). He perform every hit I knew. From there we attended a comedy show as Joe Clair did the best he could to fill an approximation of an hour long gap as we awaited Erykah’s arrival or readiness. Given her late start, and technical difficulties, Erykah’s performance subpar. This is my third time attending a “Badu Live Experience” it could very well be my last. She is 1 for 3 in terms of great performances. She did an amazing job in Baltimore February of this year.

    What an amazing show!

    by CJ88 on 12/9/19EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

The show was amazing! I didn’t realized that the two artist would be doing their own sets. Nas was amazing the energy that he brought made us stand up and get our ever lasting life. Ms. Badu let us have it honey, even though she was late arriving on stage. She came out and demanded her respect and destroyed the stage. Her time was up lights came on and she still was singing. That let’s me know the love she has for us is pure.

    On cloud 9

by Starbarr on 12/9/19EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Until you do right by you, nothing else will last. What an amazing show! I have wanted to see Erykah Badu for so many years but have never had the chance due to schedules and well... life. Lol. I’ve been a fan ever since Baduizm was released and have always dreamed of seeing her in person and listening to her vocals live. So, when I heard about these tickets going on sale I put a reminder on my phone because there was no way I was going to miss out... especially, when it was taking place about 25 minutes away from me. Fast forward to concert night and I’m running late per usual. My biggest worry of the night was parking and walking alone to and from my vehicle. I ended up parking quite far not knowing there were multiple spots available closer to the entrance. Since, I was running about 40 minutes behind there were no security out and it was quite lonely. I walked fast, stayed under well lit areas and was aware of my surroundings. Once at the door everything went as smooth as butter. I walked right up, did the security check, had my ticket scanned from my phone and walked straight over to the concession stand because this girl needs her drink before finding her seat. There wasn’t much in the beer selection, just your basics: Corona, Modelo, Miller lite, Heineken... The employees at the counter were great. The staff nearby were friendly and a police officer on security detail helped me find my section. The venue itself was great. It seems no matter where you sit, you’ll have a good view... section 117 is my favorite though. Nas was already on stage as I walked to my seat and performed some of his best songs. I say some because all his music is pretty ill. He was great on stage and the crowd was definitely feeling him. After his set, Joe Clair was on stage getting the crowd wild; hyping everyone up with music and jokes. I really enjoyed this because he played music for all of us!! Whether you grew up in the 80’s, 90’s or early 2000’s his DJ had a song for you. It was definitely a good time. A short while later Joe Clair announced that the Queen was about to come out and we all went wild. Yaaasssss, she is a queen indeed! I don’t have much detail for this part. I just remember Erykah Badu stepping out on stage looking fabulous as always and hitting the drum machine. At this moment I was just in awe, in heaven, practically in tears. She was AH-MAZE-ING!!! She doesn’t really have a planned set.. I’m sure she has an idea of what songs she’s performing but, you definitely won’t get a manicured show. She gives you whatever vibe the audience is giving her. I know she had some technical difficulties at one point and switched up her drumming for singing and I’m not even mad about it. Her vocals are just as beautiful live as they are on record. Her vibe, her words, her soul are all just beautiful. She sang some big classics and practically gave us Baduizm live as it is 22yrs old this year. If given the chance to see her again, I definitely will. And anyone who wishes to see her, definitely should. Her show will not disappoint. After the lights came on and the show ended Erykah Badu came off stage and took some time to greet her fans below. This gave them a chance to see her up close and get some quick pics of her before she walked through curtains and out of sight. At this point, it was time go. My worry about walking alone to the car wasn’t an issue as everyone was walking out also and there were plenty staff on duty directing traffic. All in all, it was a fabulous night. I highly recommend seeing Ms. Badu perform at least once. Preferably in a setting like this rather than a festival. Thanks for the memories!!

Performers were great but venue cut her off at 11:30

    by LB42 on 12/9/19EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

The MC was given more time than Erykah. She didn’t have enough time to do her hit songs. I don’t know if that’s because of her or the stage crew assembly of the stage. I saw her in Baltimore a few months back at Royal Farms arena and she was much better then

    Not impressed! Late start!

by Stinnie on 12/9/19EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Let's go back to the 90's - this concert would have been sold out. $100 for nose bleed seats? Nope! Wasn't worth it. Nas bleeped out a lot of words in his lyrics. Erykah's song intros sounded like a mix of electronic and dial-up modem on crack. Disappointed. Waste of money! On the plus side - parking was a breeze!

    Waste of money and time

by Horrible venue on 12/9/19EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

The sound was horrible. There were times when the artist couldn’t hear themselves so they had a hard time keeping up with the band or DJ that was performing behind them. Nas did his best. Erykah (who is not my favorite) was horrible. I feel like her act is a little played out. We know that she is not really as deep as the hat on her head. She also took way to long to come out for her set and the comedian had to fill for her. This would have been a good show for a college homecoming not for grown folks. The Eagle Bank Arena is only good for basketball games and that’s about it. I will not be going back to a concert there.
