Great show. The band is excellent. Eric is a tasty player with deep meaning original songs
I've seen Eric Gales many times... He never disappoints!
Eric gales stayed after the show to take pics and sign it was a wonderful experience
Great guitar player, singer and great song selection. Nice variety of music. Kept it really interesting and inspiring the whole concert. Really connected with the audience. Fantastic band too!
We drove 4 hours to go to the show and it was well worth it. Eric Gales is a master. Great show, great venue!
What an experience ! We witnessed greatness! Eric Gales and his band were phenomenal! Definitely hope to catch him again next time in Denver!!!
My first Blues concert and it couldn’t have been any better. Eric Gales is such a cool dude who is so down to earth, and the talent? WOW!!! I was blown away by his connectivity to the crowd and his music, what an OUTSTANDING performance. Amazing night.
Eric, lit up the night with his explosive sonic mastery backed by the expertise of his backing musicians. He incited the crowd to go wild, with arms swaying up and down on his Eight-mile stretch during one powerhouse jam. He e told the anticipating crowd "i want the whole room to shake loose and it did,". What a night !! Super fun.
Saw Eric Gales a couple years back at the Tampa Bay Blues Fest and was blown away by his incredible performance and crowd engagement. The same this time…maybe a bit more subdued with some poignant songs from his new record, but still an excellent show. Couldn’t believe that the place wasn’t packed. Guess the word isn’t out about this great talent.
Gales has an unusual ability to change guitar styles mid solo that encompasses blues, rock jazz in almost a stream of conscientious way that is unique.
Eric Gales just blew me away with his guitar skills. I can't understand why he is not more popular with the mainstream music scene. I plan to go see him again in September when he plays along with Buddy Guy in Charleston, SC.
First time at Charleston Music Hall. We enjoyed the Eric Gales experience along with Terrance Young. Hope to return for the Sept 17 show with Buddy Guy!
Sad that Eric Gales only had 100 people to hear him. He was pretty good. He should have played "Block the Sun" and a couple other songs. But standing, at 65 year old, for an hour and a half is grueling. I probably won't go back to the Deluxe again.
Eric Gales is a phenomenal guitarist and his band can really groove. I was dancing by myself in the back and when I finally got comfortable with the loudness and came up to the front of the standing room crowd (not that big of an audience, but no seating provided. The VIP area didn't seem to be available even for purchasing seats), I really enjoyed watching the band up close. I will say that I found the mix to be overpoweringly loud and muddy, however, to the point that even Mr. Gales' own amp speaker seemed to be breaking up in the wrong way from time to time, like it was being overpowered. The standing room basement at Old National is a small room and doesn't have the best acoustics, so some adjustment was needed to deal with that. I also have a marketing suggestion for Mr. Gales. He's selling his signature guitar as merch - why not offer a chance to play to any guitarist who buys one that day and is brave enough to get on stage? I was thinking this might have sold me on one!
I went to see Buddy Guy and Eric Gains blew me away can’t wait to see him in concert again just amazing
Eric Gales and band did a great job making this entertaining, satisfying, and fun. The venue was great. Seating was tight but good. Stating the show was "seated" was really nice and made the experience more welcoming for the typical clientele for a concert like this.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd Joe Bonamassa John Frusciante ERIC GALES - Welcome to the club!……..”must see to appreciate”….
I love that he plays small venues and puts on such a great show. Then immediately comes off stage to sign autographs and take pictures with everyone. Rare to see such an awesome talent be so down to earth and humble. Keep coming back it works when you work it!
