Concert was wonderful from start to finish. Great musicians, great show! Ticket buying process was a pain for people like me who aren’t techies but l muddled my way through it.
Was way more than I hoped for . Tralf is one of my favorite venues not a bad seat in the place . There was a problem with seating and tables but didn’t take away from the show .
Some people describe an Eric Gales show as a religious experience. The man gets very personal and his emotions flow thru him to his guitar and to his audience. His guitar abilities are as good as any. His sound is crisp and full if energy. His band is perfectly matched and in tune with his emotions, thoughts and actions. He takes you on a musical ride that you will not forget.
We had a great time at this event! All of the artists were excellent and the venue was great too! Great drink prices. Loved it :)
It was a great environment, and an amazing music performance. Perfect for Father's Day with my parents.
Eric Gales is amazing. I saw him play 20 years ago with a friend at a little venue and it still holds the slot of one of the most impressive shows ever. Well, he's even better now. It does'nt matter if you know his music or not. He (and his band) will grab you're attention and never let go. This guy channels music from the heart and is super appreciative that you would come and spend some time with him. Shook everyones hand on the way out the door at the end of the night. This guy ticks all the boxes. See him and support his music. Musicians (and people) like this are rare!
I actually appreciated the fact that he (1) played some original material, and (2) was not just a Hendrix "cover band", but lent his own interpretation to Hendrix tunes. If you love guitarists that are influenced by Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Johnson, you will LOVE Eric Gales. As an added mind-blowing bonus, Eric was taught to play guitar by his brother when Eric was 4 years old; he was taught to play the guitar left-handed, but left strung as a right-handed guitar. You can confirm this on Eric's wikipedia entry. YES, he plays the guitar strung upside down (low E string on the bottom).
Great show. Good music. Awsome place and a great tribute to Jimi. I could not have asked for a better nigh out with the ladies. Cant wait until the next show. They must come back asap.
BIN TO ALOT OF CONCERTS,BB'S THE BEST VENUE.ERIC GALES IS A GREAT TALENT.HE TOLD THE CROWD OF HIS HISTORY,MENTIONED HIS FAMILY,BLUES GREATS THAT HE GREW UP WITH THAT INFLUENCED HIM AND HIS PLAYING STYLE.ERIC GUITAR LICKS WERE INCREDABLY FAST.IF YOU WANT TO GIVE HOMAGE TO A LEGAND LIKE HENDRIX,YOU BETTER BE GOOD.'ERIC IS THAT GOOD.GREAT SHOW.GREAT GUITARIST.I LOOK FOWARD TO SEEING HIM AGAIN ANYTIME.
Eric's playing is unorthodox to say the least. He plays reverse style which I guess is not so bad when that is how you learn to play, and from what I understand that is how Eric learned how to play. Eric is like a mix of Jimi Hendrix frenzied mash of metal and wood, and Eric Johnson's blazing smooth pentatonic runs. Eric marries these styles well and still manages to sound like himself. He makes great use of his St Blues guitar and his Two Rock sig. amp. It is refreshing to see someone like Eric with all the crap that is out there these days.
Amazing left handed blues player! Gales was flawless! I would love to see him again!
