The consolation game between Iowa and Syracuse was the most exciting event. A close game to the end with loud fan involvement. Much better than the quiet championship between Texas and Cal.
Being able to go to MSG for the Wounder Warrior tournament was a great experience. But I was surprised so few people attended. If it weren't for the Syracuse fans, there would only be around 2000 people.
enjoyed the games but 5:00pm start is too early. Food inside was very limited. Great venue - nice ushers.
There was a very annoying fan who was disrespectful. However everything else was perfect
Great games. AND, the renovations at MSG are amazing. We were in the 200 section, and the seats were great.
Process of getting tickets and getting into the garden was smooth. Only drawback was the group of loudmouth people next to me who didn't have tickets for the seats they were in. Garden security needs to check all ticketholders so they are in the seats that they paid for.
Double header , so the value was great. Even better final had two great basketball teams. Took my son and we had grey seats. College basketball atmosphere can't bet it.
Great games. Specially the Uconn. vs Indiana. I really enjoyed it and that is why I'll be back with some friends next year.
It was great seeing my college play live (IU). The only down side was the drunk fan 2 rows back Wh would not shut up even when his fellow fans (U Conn) told him to sit down and be quiet. Security probably should have been involved as a fight almost broke out
Uconn at msg against Indiana (and the game before). Great game, great atmosphere, great deal! Highly recommend!
Great event. BC vs UCONN first time in nine years and a two point game. What more could you ask for.
My son and I attended and had a great time. Good seats were reasonably priced for MSG. $80 to seat 10 rows behind the basket. Good choice of teams. Indiana fans were well represented. Only complaint was they would not let you in until 30 minutes before the tip off-should print that on the tickets.
First time at a Basketball match on holidays. Wasnt sure what atmosphere to expect. It was a double header College game(s). Looking at the Madison Square Garden seating map, we thought wed be way up at the back as per our purchased seats. It was far from it and we were pretty close to the action. What made it for us were the College Bands playing throughout the games, every time a "Time Out" was called. On that note, for a game of about 45 mins it took 1 1/2 hrs with all these time outs, but i guess thats Basketball.
I was with my wife on this event. It was very nice to join the trill of being in Madison Square Garden for the first time with the good feeling of helping the Wounded Warriors Project. We had a lot of fun, cheered a lot and really enjoyed the evening.
Great teams. College basketball rocks. The Garden is a really well run arena. Very clean with employees who seem to care.
Alabama basketball can't be beat! First time in the new Garden and was highly impressed with the venue. First time at a 2K classic and would definitely attend again.
For starters, going to an event that raises awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project will be good regardless of which teams show up. Although the teams weren't nationally ranked the level of play was competitive and both games came down to the wire. The Villanova Purdue game went into OT. Would have been nice to see more of the seats filled but overall one of the few times of the year where its possible to see a broad mix of schools from outside of the region.
I have never seen such biased, incompetent officiating in my 60 years following college basketball. When questioned about the Byrd "flagrant foul" call, even the Villanova coach admitted that he didn't see it despite the fact that it "happened" right in front of him.
Atmosphere of Madison Square Garden was great and we enjoy college basketball at all.
Great Experience. Awesome seats, great price. Love the renovated venue. Top notch competitive basketball as well.
