EMILY WEST IN CONCERT:

From her days as a Nashville newcomer to her runner-up finish on the 2014 season of America’s Got Talent, country sweetheart Emily West has consistently knocked ‘em dead with her sultry voice and pitch-perfect performances. West named her 2015 full-length debut All For You, and she makes good on the album’s title in concert, leaving it all on the stage for fans with epic performances that showcase her powerful and dynamic voice. Performing original songs and covers of hits like Sia’s “Chandelier”, West exudes a mix of confidence and vulnerability, winning over audiences between songs with deeply personal stories about her journey. With her soulful voice, charismatic stage presence, and timeless style, West is a must-see for country and pop fans looking for a show-stopping concert experience

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Emily West, aka Emily Marie Nemmers, was born and raised in Iowa. She knew from early on she wanted to be a singer, and at age 13 her parents took her to a studio to cut her first demos. Soon after high school she moved to Nashville to pursue music full time. She made her debut on Capitol Nashville in 2007 with a self-titled EP, cracking the Top 40 on the country charts with her first single “Rocks in Your Shoes”. Her rise continued in 2010 when she collaborated with Keith Urban on the hit “Blue Sky”, which spent 13 weeks on the charts. In 2011 she self-released her sophomore EP I Hate You, I Love You, an acclaimed collection that expanded on her country palette and peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s Folk Albums Charts. Despite her success West found herself without label support by 2014. Undeterred, she tried out for America’s Got Talent, eventually reaching the finals thanks to her impressive live performance chops. With thousands of new fans and a renewed sense of creative purpose following the show, West released her 2015 debut album All For You to a No. 2 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, and she continues to burn bright on tour.

Emily West is a true vocal talent.

I was introduced to Emily West through AGT where she showed her beautiful talent. When I heard she was touring I immediately purchased tickets. A January snow storm hit the day of the concert and it was postponed until this last Thursday. I always worry about seeing singers in concert, that what I saw on tv would not be as impressive. But I was completely blown away by how perfectly Emily West's voice actually sounded live. There was not a single note off key. She is as beautiful in person with a lovely personality. She sang a large variety of songs and each was a good as the one before. It was just her and her pianist on the stage. No over the top stage or special effects, just a great performer singing great songs. I will definitely see her again in concert and look forward to her next release. Simply put... I love her!

A night of magic and love

    by panhandler62 on 3/27/16Birchmere - Alexandria

We drove in from West Virginia to see Emily. Emily walked out to the microphone stand, captivating in a period down, as Dustin settled in at the piano. Opening with "Fallen", she captured the audience and for the next 90 minutes, never let us go. The show was very personal and informal throughout. She joked with the crowd (including a fantastic impression of Mae West!) and delivered heartfelt material with soaring vocals, mixing songs from the album with new songs never before heard. Unlike many performers, who manage a carefully cultivated space, this experience was like having your amazingly talented friend come over and sing for you.

The concert was fantastic. Emily sounds exactly the same in person as on her CD. She's very entertaining besides being a great performer. She stayed afterwards to talk with everyone.

    Cool Place

Very intimate venue. LOVED Emily West. Not a bad seat in the house. I would only attend a show with a seated venue at House Blues.
