My daughters loved it. Singing, story, price - everything was just right for a 6 & 4 year old.
The show was delightful. We took the 4 year old daughter of a co-worker, and we all enjoyed it.
I didn't think it was worth the money. I was a little bored.
The performances were excellent. All four actors were just terrific in their roles. The length of one hour and 5 minutes was just right. All the children were enthralled and there was no figgetyness or moving or anything. We had a 3 1/2 year old who love Rapunzel and she was completely captivated. Her mom and I enjoyed it also. And the autographs at the end are a real highlight for the children
I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews last week to take my sister, niece, and daughter to see Rapunzel. However, I am happy to say the Emerald City Theater group does not disappoint. It was a great show with lots of humor for both us adults and the kids too. It was the highlight of our trip to Chicago for both my 4 year old daughter and my niece. It is a nice small venue and the actors do a great job working the crowd, not to mention the picture opportunities after the show. Thanks Emerald City for another great family friendly show!
I took my niece to see Rupunzel. The set was cute and the characters were great but after 40 minutes both of us couldn't wait to leave. I felt the script was too long, if needed to remain that long I feel that bigger/more props could be used to keep our attention. The theatre is small you would think every seat is a "good seat" but not true.I feel if props were bigger and used more often that we wouldn't have had the opportunity to be bored in the back.
I thought the cast was great. My kids weren't blown away...too many twists on the disney version...caused a bit of confusion for the 4 and 5 year olds.
